The Three Coopers is in the process of being taken over by Marsdens brewery, we went for a drink in a different pub before check-in and found out that another pub Green Dragon was running the accommodation, Marcia was fantastic she explained everything for us, the only issue for us was when 2 people lay on the bed you got the great big dip in the middle and is very hard to move, everything else was perfect, the Green Dragon team were thoughtful and very helpful my suggestion would be to message or email customers who book the three coopers about the temporary check in changes
The room we had booked wasn't a superior double but after we spoke to the manager we were moved to another room. It has recently been renovated but has been done quickly which shows. The bar downstairs was noisy until closing time so if you want an early night it's not ideal. Floors were very creaky but it's a very old building. Breakfast over the road at the Green Dragon was lovely but the eating window is only an hour, 8:30 - 9:30 and you have to pre order what you want.
Access to rooms was through the bar area. Quite steep stairs. Looks to be newly refurbished. Carpets etc. Good spacious bathroom but room disappointing. Superior double was nothing like the website photos. Rather small. Very noisy floor boards. Breakfast was not on the premises but at a nearby pub. Parking was on the main street. Not an issue on a Sunday but would have been on a week day.
Our room was clean and tidy but unfortunately all other rooms were getting renovated and the hotel was closed, the hotel had just been took over by new owners. We were the only people there.Their was smell of paint all around the rooms and the hotel was closed.
We had to go to another hotel for breakfast which was owned by the same people.
The breakfast was very nice and the new owner was very apologetic about the situation. I just wish past our presence owners had contacted us and told us about the Renovations as we would probably have booked later in the year when everything had been done.
Quirky pub. The landlord is an Elvis Fan and a Leeds United Fan and this is reflected in the pub decor. He is also a Staffie fan as there are two in residence.
There is no parking at the pub but it is available about a 100yds away in the long term public car park.
Breakfast was excellent and substantial and the beer is good.

Local drinkers pub
From outside looks ok. Downstairs bar area tatty, bare floor. Locals only pub. Very few if which came in maybe 4/5. Accommodation is accessed by door side of bar in next to darts area. Stairs up had stuff dumped on one side. Room ok looks like been freshly decorated in netural colour. Towels provided had a smell of tobacco which permeated the bathroom. Breakfast although plentiful wasn't the best ingredients more budget end. Service provided at breakfast by gentleman who although pleasant didnt exactly inspire you and made you wonder what to expect when breakfast arrived. Appearance counts alot in hospitality. No parking at place. Would i stay again - No.
Found this little gem on line and what a find, great place with the friendliest people.
Went over and above for me and made sure i have some breakfast in a bag when i left at 6 in the morning.
Would highly recommend this place
