Clean modern room and hotel. The shower was poor, very low water pressure. The cafe/bar cannot serve proper decaf coffee only offered instant 😬 Location is excellent very central for the city. Hot food at breakfast was mildly warm certainly not hot. Service was only okay nothing special which is unusual in this part of the world .

Excellent Staff and Facility
From front desk staff to housekeeping to breakfast service, the staff was EXCELLENT!!! Location was a little challenging to get to, and parking was as a couple of blocks away, but was fine for the quality of the room and service.

Reception staff were very friendly on arrival and gave us some info on getting to some places we'd had recommended to us. Room was mostly excellent, towels and bedding were very clean and fresh. There were a couple of minor things, one side of the shower was open and over time a section of the bathroom door had suffered some water damage. Also I don't think the extraction fan was working in the bathroom. Housekeeping topped up the tea and coffee making materials every day as well as providing some very tasty biscuits. Our spacious room was on the top (12th) floor and was very quiet, there were three lifts servicing the hotel and we were never left waiting very long for one, either at the lobby or room level. The Maldren is in a good central location within walking distance of many places and close to transport links to those further away. We used the 600 bus service to get to and from the hotel from City Airport (£2.30 per person each way) which only took around 15 minutes. All in all a great place to stay.

Conveniently located. Bathroom was dirty, hair in shower, urine all around toilet, bed sheets don’t get changed after each guest as we were able to tell by how untidy the bed was made and the sheets were dirty.
