Conveniently located, fairly quiet neighborhood.
Two email questions were unanswered. One phone call went unanswered.
Location can’t be beat. Hostel is clean and nicely decorated, it’s basic. Had difficulty figuring out how to communicate with the hostel staff after booking through Expedia but once I figured it out they were quick to respond. There are no staff on site. They email directions. I didn’t have any difficulty following them but there are many door PIN codes you need to get to your room.
WORST experience during our trip to Norway. DO NOT STAY HERE. After going through three doors with codes, NO keys were left in the keybox to enter our room. Tried contacting the person in charge a hundred times at the number that appears on the reservation with NO answer. After being left with no room at 10.30pm on a very busy Thursday in Bergen, Expedia helped me find a new place and gave me a full refund.
No key was left in my key box. No response to four emails. The contact phone number does not work. I had to get a room at another hotel. My afternoon was wasted when I should have been exploring Bergen. I demand a full refund and expect one. Terrible experience.

Okay, couldnt reach hosts for issues
This place was okay. Bed small but comfortable. Clean spacious kitchen shared area and decent bathrooms. Walls are paper thin though. Laundry appreciated but dryer door wouldn't stay locked and I got no response from texting and calling the # provided by the host. Fire alarm randomly goes off - the # provided there also had no answer and people from other apartments had to figure out how to stop it. PDf of info was helpful except code to get to the patio wasn't working

Check-in jitters and uncertainty
When I read the details about the hostel online, it said that check-ins are allowed until 11:30 pm. I assumed there was a staff present at the site till that hour. This was not the case.
When I arrived at around 9 pm, the hostel had this steel gate that you couldn't enter until you key in the security code. Unfortunately, none of the staff has sent me an email on how to login. Luckily, another guest checked in 15 few minutes after me who explained to me how everything works. You had to go through 5 layers of security to get in (which was good from a security perspective but bad from someone like me who didn't have anything). I asked him (the guest) to help me with my problem as no one from the hostel sent me any email for the instructions. He trusted me and provided me the contact support of the hostel. Luckily, I had a roaming mobile and rang up the hostel support. I spoke to her and had to ask her to send me the details via email. After 5 minutes, no reply. I called again and requested that the info be instead sent to me via WhatsApp. Everything had been sorted after 30-45 minutes of being unsure if I had a room to stay for the night. From there, everything was sorted.
