Property needs some TLC, the fan in our bathroom didn’t work. People were often smoking weed just outside the building and our room smelled like weed off and on. We had a baby with us. The location in good in regard to proximity with restaurants and museums and monuments. Staff was usually nice and helpful although our first night there someone was able to open our door in the middle of the night and that left us feeling a bit unsafe.

Very good hotel at Good price.
Overall the stay was great. The hotel is close to the White House, Breakfast was included and parking is available at a discount at a nearby parking lot (About 5 minutes walk). Staff was very friendly and check in and checkout was thorough. Price for this hotel is good compared to others in the area. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is due to a fridge in the room making squeeling noises when the compressor kicks in. Judging from an old water stain in the carpeting, someone may have had similar experience and unplugged the fridge. I didn't complain about the noise as we only stayed one night.

The rooms are a bit dated, but they are clean. The breakfast in the morning is among the worst I have encountered. If you don't show up as soon as breakfast opens, you only bread options are sliced bread and the odd bagel. Nothing else gets restocked. The eggs are awful and the sausage is greasy. Cereal or make your own waffles seem to be the safest.
