Hidden Shores is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom REMOTE lake house designed for relaxation, refreshment, and fun in mind. Whether you are coming to escape the hustle and bustle of life for a peaceful family retreat, or just want to get a change of scenery and work remotely while your family plays, our home away from home will suit your needs.
Immerse yourself in nature with our impressive views of Kentucky Lake/Tennessee River. Watch the occasional barge go by, listen to the waves while relaxing on the deck, take a swim along the shallow shoreline, fish the day away (great fishing location), go boating with the ease of our private boat ramp (explore the ruins of the underground railroad just 2000 ft downriver), occasionally see the white-tailed deer who stop by for a drink, and birdwatch (see if you can spot the bald eagle that is nesting on our 2- wooded acres).
The Drive:
Get into "rest-mode" while driving along The Tennessee River Trail Scenic Byway to our shoreside retreat on Kentucky Lake. The drive is an adventure in itself as you meander through picturesque countryside and small, hometown America. Then, wind through the woods (about 5 minutes) on a semi-private gravel road along the shoreline to our "hidden" home. Other than our one next-door neighbor, we are situated on 2 wooded acres with over 1000 undeveloped acres adjacent to our property.
**As common in the area, due to the hilly and windy roads, we do recommend 4 wheel drive or chains for your tires in the winter months where there is a possibility for ice.
This only happens occasionally, but is a possibility(check weather conditions) **

The kitchen opens up to our comfortable Great Room that has plenty of natural light and views of the lake. There is no lack of seating with our cozy sofas and arms chairs, and we have enough throw blankets around to keep you all snuggled up to watch a movie on our large Smart TV. We have a fold-out couch for an optional extra bed.
Walk out onto our sprawling deck from the kitchen that looks over Kentucky Lake. It has a large gas grill to cook up some burgers or make a nice steak meal. We also have a gas-powered fire-pit conveniently situated on the deck to enjoy late-night chats around the fire with family and friends.

There are full windows on the east side of the room with a sliding door that opens to the large deck and adirondack seating area, the perfect place to enjoy a cozy morning coffee while you watch the sun come up over the lake.
