Property is real nice. Has all the amenities listed including coffee. Bring water. The well water is real hard and odorous, but cleaning and showering is fine. The towns around are pretty cool and have a lot to offer - Mercel, Deer River, Big Fork. DR and BF have golf courses. DR and BF have large grocery stores. Mercel has a convenience store with food, gas, liquor, fresh bait, and a deli. Friendly people there. He keeps the cabin well stocked with firewood. Be careful with kids going up and down to the lake. It's like a 60 degree drop from the cabin to the dock. There is a wooden walkway built that zigzags from cabin to lake. And a narrow road that runs along the side of the hill. This one is a bit longer, but much safer than the walkway. You can definitely get in shape walking either of these paths a couple times a day. We gave up trying to bring the boat to the dock via the road mentioned above. Just too narrow. Works better to launch your boat at the public access. Didn't have much luck fishing. There's rock bass off the dock that are active. And out on the lake we caught a few bass. Very deep lake. Check it out on DNR before going. Thanks
