It's located 140 kilometres to the southwest of Budapest, the capital of Hungary.

What could be more indulgent than enjoying a cool breeze next to the water? Take a trip to Gardony Beach or Golden Shore for a great day out.

You won't have to be on the road all day to see a bit of nature. Just 25 kilometres out of Bikal, Abaliget Cave is a great place to get some fresh air. More peaceful surrounds await at Cella Septichora Visitors Centre, 30 kilometres away.

Be sure to visit other close-by sights, such as the Bat Museum and the Mill Museum. These are situated 19 kilometres southwest in Magyarhertelend. Don't want to call it a day just yet? Pecs Cathedral and the Archaelogical Museum are in Orfű, 25 kilometres to the southwest of Bikal.

Spend some time at Szechenyi Square, Mosque of Gazi Kaszim Pasha and the Pecs Synagogue. All of these attractions are pretty close to the middle of Pecs, 30 kilometres to the south. If you're after more, the Golf Club of Pecs and Bishop’s Palace ought to also be on your travel list.
