The staff was friendly except for a couple of cranky workers we encountered. The ice cream was good at The Chocolate Box and food at Bubba Gump's was decent. The hotel is dated and worn. Once we reached our floor, it was evident that housekeeping was lacking. The carpet down the hall was in need of vacuuming. Our room was in need of cleaning as well. With the curtains open, you could see all the dirt and dust on the floor. A red sticky substance was on the floor. I attempted to wipe it, but was so caked on I couldn't wipe it easily. I made sure to tell my kids not to put their things on the floor or walk barefoot on the floor. We woke up earlier than we planned so we could get out of there ASAP. Also, a beer can was left on our balcony. Next time I'll spend the extra money to book a room down the road. It's disappointing to spend a decent amount of money to stay somewhere and you feel dirty just by being there. Nothing relaxing about this experience at all and I would not recommend this location to anyone. I think we may be DONE with Golden Nugget, with the exception of the Lake Charles property.

They didn’t service the room. Had to call everyday to at least have the trash taken out & fresh towels. We were told they service the room every 3 days. No frig or microwave. A different stay from our normal trips.

Meh, works out in the end.
Overall a good experience, however they definitely need to upgrade the smoke eaters as even I'm the hotel area you could smell the cigarettes and weed. The restaurant we ate at was great as well as the staff in it. Check in process was a breeze alto gh one of our room keys didn't work at first. The faucet dropped constantly in the shower so instead of hearing it I put a towel under it to absorb the noise. The views are great from the balcony and honestly you can't be the hotel rate.
