Spotless hotel, friendly staff, bar open till late Friday. Blackout curtains. Parking at hotel but pricey, left my car at the NEC and walked, about 25 mins though quicker going down the back road the next morning. Think you have to go through the station in any event.

Good value for a budget stay
I stayed for one night as I was attending a, two day conference at the NEC arena. I chose the hotel as it stated it was a 5 minute walk from the train station and was "in n the NEC doorstep". It was, in fact a five minute walk from the station, but a good 20 minute walk to the arena, which was quite a treck, especially as I had to do it 8 times. The accomodation was adequate for a budget stay but the corridors smelt of urine and the bedding was decidedly not 3* The restaurant however, was excellent value for money as the buffet breakfast was only £11 Likewise, the staff were all friendly, professional and very helpful. I would like to have stayed there again but the walk to the arena pub me off.

Good facilities in bedroom such as iron and ironing board. Breakfast food quality was poor and full English was luke warm. Expensive parking! £15 to park in their own car park is a complete rip off. Would not stay again. Their are better hotels in the area.

Good hotel and great location
Check in was efficient esp as there was a long queue and staff were really friendly and helpful. The rooms were decent but the doors slamming can be heard all over your floor so bare that in mind. Sound proofing is not great. Paying extra for car parking esp when you are already a paying guest is unfair. But the hotel was walking distance to the BP Pulse, train station which is ideal and the reason we booked.

After reading recent reviews I was a bit concerned about staying here. Staff were lovely and very polite, room was lovely and clean, air conditioning was apparently being replaced but ours was perfect and kept our room lovely and cool, bar/restaurant area was always kept clean and was very comfortable. Close walking distance to Arena and trains, overall a great stay and would defiantly stay again especially if flying from Birmingham International airport, thanks to all the staff
