This hotel has a regular LOUD Friday night disco until MIDNIGHT! I was 3 floors up and with windows closed, felt the rumble of the boom boom boom, heard the music and the DJ talking, and then at midnight loud groups leaving and waiting for taxis for the next 15 minutes. Even a drunk bloke singing loudly to himself. Outrageous! Poor night's sleep, and I will ask for a refund via hotels.com. I have several videos for evidence. Oh. And the lift was out of order to top it all off.

Adequate but tired looking hotel.
The hotel room was adequate for a single nights stay. Generally a very tired looking hotel but clean nevertheless. Shower head was weirdly placed so could not use properly due to poor design. Also, not a great idea to have smokers sit right outside the front door.
My first room was very tired. Carpet was several different shades of brown with burned in marks from someone leaving an iron on the carpet.
The bathroom was also showing signs of desperately needing renovation. No toilet roll (I guess because the holder had fallen off so they forgot). The bathroom also had a really bad smell, maybe stagnant water. Not sure.
I asked to move after the first night. Reception didn't apologise at all, just wanted to double check what kind of room I had so they didn't accidentally upgrade me as I moved.
Second room was better, carpet had clearly been changed semi-recently so less inclined to keep my shoes on the whole time.
Bed was clean and comfortable enough.
Aside from the experience with reception staff when I was moving everyone else was really lovely.
Wouldn't recommend, even for the price.
I believe this to be one of the worst stays I had with my partner on the weekend. We both looked forward to a romantic trip this weekend and had booked the Friday and Saturday.
I twice called downstairs to speak to the receptionist about the smell in one of the corridors and no one decided to pick up the phone.
The fire alarm also woke me up at 6am Sunday morning and as I was just getting back to sleep, it went off again at 6:30am. I spoke to the receptionist about it and he basically didn’t seem interested in what I had to say.
It was a shame really as me and my partner believed this would be a very good hotel to spend our anniversary but unfortunately it was not to be.

Room was tatty for what paid hair in bathroom which was not ours, furniture tatty ceiling all peeling and flaking off cartpet dirty breakfast buffet sausages were not cooked bacon the same. Waited over 20 mins for eggs and hash browns to come agter asking more than 3 times others guest we were with as was a large wedding said the same by time come out it ws too late. Such a shame as had love evening at the event 😕
We checked in late 23:20pm ish. With out young daughter. The receptionist was quite rude and seem like she did not want to deal with us. After that we got the the room what a disgusting disgrace the carpet was worn through to the underlay. The room smelt like no1 had cleaned it (sweaty B.O ) cheesy feet kind of smell. Then the toilet seat would fall off each time you put it back and tighten it up. The toilet door would not lock because someone has broken it. The list goes on and on and the staff just don’t seem to care in the slight. What a major embarrassment of a hotel. Needs closing down and refurbishing or best off staying closed.
Where do I start?
AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.
Service was dreadful - The lady on reception PUNISHED me for having the temerity to ask to change rooms as my TV was not working,it stank and I was next to a boiler.
I was put in a room at far end of building with no wifi and a bed direct from an overcrowded Ecudoarian jail cell.
The mattress was over 40 year old (I sell beds - I know)
Breakfast is the most undercooked sausage and bacon ever.
A VILE place with simply the worst receptionist in history .
Receptionist was amazing. But my god the room was rubbish the bed was leaning to 1 side. The mattress springs were broken the whole bed needed replacing. I’m surprised it ain’t been closed down yet. Bar staff could not be bothered. And when you asked for something. It seem like to much effort. Not being funny but they are paid to do the job so why accept the vacancy if you won’t do it to the best of their abilities. I’m going to make sure everyone I know up and down the country never stays as I don’t want them to have the same experience. I honestly hand on heart feel an apology IS NOT good enough and compensation should be given.
The room was very disappointing and basic
Not a reflection of the overall look & feel
Harry Bar looked great as did the cafe room
So we had high hopes for the room. We got quite a shock, the room was basic, curtains looked like something I had as a student
Bath was filthy
Bathroom was old fashioned and clearly not maintained
