You can also visit the National Trust sites of Kingston Lacy House, Hod Hill and the White Mill. Dorset Heavy Horse Farm is a wonderful family day out where you can feed the animals or enjoy a ride in a horse drawn carriage. You can visit Moors Valley Park where there are tree top walkways or you can cycle around the woodlands. Also pay a visit to the theatre in Wimborne or the scale model town. Also worth a visit are the Abbey Museum and Gardens at Shaftesbury, or drive to the coast and enjoy the UKs best beach in Bournemouth, or further along to the beautiful Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. A slice of heaven
Yew tree cottage was everything we hoped for and more. The village is incredible with a lot of very friendly neighbours and an amazing pub to boot. We took our small dog whom loved exploring the garden. The shower was super powerful everything was comfortable and all the bedlinen smelt delicious as did the towels. Would’ve been nice to have had some milk in the fridge but that is literally the only thing I would have changed. We were so lucky to be staying in Such beautiful weather unfortunately we didn’t get to use the fire because it was too warm in the evening.
Stayed 3 nights in Jun 2022
