Holidays in Blayney

We're here for a good time, not a long time! So pull your socks up and book that trip to Blayney. It's the ideal entry to the pleasant rural landscapes of Central New South Wales.

It's situated 190 kilometres north of Canberra, Australia's capital city.

You'll discover a number of interesting natural attractions surrounding Blayney. Why not set out 30 kilometres to Orange Visitor Information Centre? Alternatively, you can enjoy Mother Nature's artwork at Ben Chifley Dam, 35 kilometres away.

Take a breather from all the bells and whistles of modern technology with an afternoon at Heritage Park.

The Golden Memories Musem and the Brangayne of Orange are not far from the centre of Spring Terrace, 20 kilometres to the northwest. Need more? Huntley, 25 kilometres to the northwest of Blayney, boasts the Orange Civic Theatre and the Orange Regional Gallery.

Sitting 30 kilometres to the northeast, Bathurst is a destination that has lots to offer. The Mount Panorama Winery, the National Motor Racing Museum and Bathurst Visitor Information Centre are close by. Keep in mind, Bathurst Courthouse and Chifley Home are also worthy.

Hiking and horse riding are extremely popular with the locals. These pastimes will let you experience this incredible region from a totally different perspective.

Picnicking and bird watching are fabulous ways to chill out and get some fresh air.

Sure, we admit there's a charm to getting lost somewhere new, but every now and then it's rather nice to reach your target on the first go. To avoid any delays along the way, join some culinary tours and winery tours.

Birds shouldn't be the only ones who get to soar majestically over the land below. Sky diving is a mind-blowing way to see a whole lot more of the place.

See what's happening at the region's art museums, history museums, art galleries and craft workshops. There are a few of them, so it's worth doing your research!

If you're catching a plane home, it's probably a wise idea to decide a route to the terminal before leaving. From the middle of Blayney, you'll need to travel about 180 kilometres east to Kingsford Smith International Airport (SYD), the nearest airport.

"The bed was very comfortable and it was good to have a balcony area. I found getting in and out of the shower to be dificult to manage as there wasnt much support to hold into. If staying there again, I would see if they had different shower facilities in other rooms as a preference"
