For the traveler who wants to experience the Blue Ridge known to locals, this three bedroom one bath mid-twentieth century farmhouse is located less than a mile from Lake Blue Ridge, minutes from the action of downtown Blue Ridge, and is situated on a fourteen acre farm with lots of room to roam. The bedrooms are furnished with period furniture and feature queen beds. The kitchen is lovingly renovated to preserve its farmhouse appeal, but has new granite countertops and stainless appliances and sink. The large farmhouse table easily seats six for meals and board games. The bath has been renovated gently to preserve the cast iron tub and sink and its character. Adjacent to the living room a three season porch with glass windows has a porch swing for relaxing and reading and a bistro set. Off the kitchen and third bedroom is a sunroom with two walls of windows looking out over the creek and farm. We provide all the comforts of home, including microwave and all necessary kitchen utensils and tableware. If you are so inclined, you may ask us to build a fire in the original wood-burning furnace in the basement. Washer and dryer are available for your use in the basement as well. The owners invite their guests to stroll the banks of Weaver Creek and Mineral Springs Creek, view the spring that provided water for the farmhouse until recently, and climb the mountain behind on wooded trails. We are only minutes from the Aska wilderness area along the Toccoa river. Come meet Fannin County natives and learn about the Appalachian way of life on small family farms. On site owners can provide additional services and information.

Convenient Stay
We were able to accomplish our objectives while at the farmhouse. The convenience of the location to what we were in Blue Ridge for made our trip successful. We were able to bring our dog with us which we prefer to do.

A wonderful place and host!
We had such a nice time in this place. The home is lovely, clean, well-stocked and in such a beautiful setting. We loved how it seemed away from everything, yet so close to town. Cathy, our host, was the most responsive and kind host we have ever had. Thank you for going above and beyond to take care of us, especially with traveling on a holiday weekend.

Mom and I
My mom loved the "granny chic" cabin and all of the rich history of the family. The host was very nice, and it was easy to communicate with her. It was warm and inviting. The bathroom fixtures were old, but clean. We didn't mind them being old. However, it is a very dusty cabin. It has lots of cute little knick knacks, but a thorough dusting of them is needed. Several of the extra blankets smelled "soured" and we could not use them. However, I would have given 4 stars rather than 3 if it were not for the difficulty getting into the cabin for my mother (age 80) and me (age 60). The steps were very difficult foR mom, and I had trouble getting things in and out. I should have checked accessibility before I booked, but I didn’t. That’s on me, but I won’t make that mistake again.

Step Back in Time
We had a quiet, lovely stay. The house is nostalgic, charming, comfortable, and peaceful. Owners are welcoming and have dogs my daughter had a great time with. Magical gazebo near the confluence of two creeks. Cathy provides an abundance of linens, blankets, kitchen items galore, candles, even a tape/cd player for us 80s kids. We took our elderly dog with us and the house worked well for him. There’s a grassy incline up to the house for humans or animals who have trouble with stairs. We had a few fires in the fire pit off the back porch (all firewood and kindling provided in abundance!) and grilled out (again, all charcoal, newspapers provided). The house is far off the road but you can still see and hear cars, just FYI (didn’t bother me but I grew up in the city). Seemed like we got peak leaf season. We took the train to McCaysville on the four hour ride. I highly recommend for adults wanting a slow (10 mph) look at the vivid leaves and to get some local history (but my 4 year old daughter found it boring). McCaysville was fun as was Horseshoe Bend Park. Overall a refreshing and relaxing mini vacation.

Coming back to Grams place
We had a wonderful multigenerational Fall getaway and loved the “ welcome home” cozy farmhouse feel with this property. The hosts were so kind to give us a tour of the highlights of the property. The close proximity to local attractions was helpful with the toddler’s schedule and needs.

Excursion in Blue Ridge GA
Very pleasant! Lovely area of GA. The facility was exactly as described and directions to the location were easily followed. We enjoyed the train-ride outing. Local restaurants and shops are located along the railroad tracks in the center of town. Orchards, vineyards, and garden produce are available on the outskirts of town.

The Perfect Getaway
The Cox Farmhouse was the perfect stay for our first getaway as a family of 3. It had all the amenities of home. The location was perfect for all the activities we had planned. It made it easy to go out, come back for our baby to take a nap, then go out again if we wanted. Cathy was a wonderful host whose food recommendations were also on point! We’ll definitely be back.

A visit to grandmas
The property was beautiful with all of the flowers and plants. I picked this place because it said it was on a river and wanted mom and dad to get some fishing in. Not a great spot for fishing but wading in the creek was fun. Gary and Cathy were very nice and accomodating and let me pet their 2 pups. Thank you for letting us stay. Priscilla

Pretty setting, great location
We enjoyed our stay here. The property was beautiful, especially with the creek in the front. The house was truly like staying at your grandmother's house, with charming rooms and pictures throughout. Cathy and Gary are wonderful hosts! A huge bonus for us was its proximity to downtown Blue Ridge. It is a very short drive to the shops and restaurants. Our first visit to Blue Ridge was a very pleasant one. Thank you for the wonderful accommodations!
