Excellent service. We were given a room downstairs as I requested to suit my husband’s mobility issue. The room is spacious and clean. The shower floor is non-slip and we felt safe. There is an ironing board and you can request an iron if you need it. The car park is bonus. The WiFi connection was good. The restaurant was nice and spacious. The food portion is not too much otherwise it would go to waste. The choices of menu in the evening is excellent. There are vegetarian and vegan menus available if you don’t want to eat meat most of the time. The staff are polite and friendly. They are well organised especially at breakfast. We are given menu to choose and tick what you want to drink and eat for breakfast the night before. You just leave it by the reception area once completed. There’s also a spa. It’s near the town centre of Bodmin about 0.3 miles.

Very convenient base for exploring the area around Bodmin. Good sized and well-equipped room and bathroom; only complaint was that the partition wall on one side was very thin so we could hear rather more of our neighbours in the adjacent room than we would have liked. Good choice of breakfast (no continental pastry option, though), and we enjoyed our Vietnamese evening meal in the restaurant.

The hotel stood out from the slightly run down town. The restaurant was excellent and better than anything else in the area. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Ensuite in the room was clean and functional, but the room only had basic tea, and coffee making facilities (no biscuits). Other than that we were very happy with the hotel.

This is a small regional hotel in the middle of Cornwall. It is close to the center of Bodmin with a restaurant on site - reservation only for dinner -- and a solid English breakfast in the morning. A good place for walkers and bikers making use of regional trails.

An excellent hotel for cycling trip!
We were on an ebike trip from Lands End to John O'Groats and this was a very good hotel. We arrived absolutely soaked and no problem taking wet bikes and gear into hotel and they provided safe and secure (and dry) storage.The room had good heating and we got all clothes dry over night. Really enjoyed our evening meal and a fine breakfast next day. Staff could not have been more helpful. Very close to the National Cycle route too!
