The only current problem is construction work on the new tram line makes it a bit difficult to walk to and from the railway station

First class in Bolgna
Both the room and hotel were on a different level than places we have stayed. They seem to really care about your experience. The room very clean and breakfast at the hotel was remarkable.

We stayed at the I Portici Hotel in August 2024 and had a wonderful experience. We stayed in a superior room (116) and the room was lovely and had all the amenities required including a large bed. The staff are excellent and helpful with the restaurant and bar team being absolutely amazing, very accommodating and friendly. The food is excellent and all cooked fresh, (Michelin Rosette 2024) but is similar in price to many other restaurants in the location. The hotel is around 5 mins from the main train station and 8/9 minute walk to the centre of town. We have had four very relaxing nights here and we would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to friends and family who were thinking of visiting Bologna.

Booked a family room. It was clean. The air conditioning wasn’t working properly had to ask a number of times for someone to come to look, only to be it was working. The system clearly isn’t good enough to cope with the august heat. Our room was noisy. When we booked we asked for parking only to be told on arrive the parking was full and we had to park around the corner for a high rate. Very disappointing service.
