Boothbay harbor
Great location. Very old camp that was pretty clean despite the age...except for the carpeting. Walkway into the camp just an uphill, rocky path. Quite hazardous, especially if wet. Also challenging to get luggage up, especially for older adults or anyone with mobility issues Needs improvement

Great spot
We usually stay in Bristol/New Harbor area and though we would give this a shot. Great little cabin. Sprucewold Beach just down the road was a must check out! Can be very cold at night, as seasonal, bring your sweaters if coming before summer kicks off

Nice cabin, close to town
Nice little cabin that’s close to town. The only thing is that it’s within 500 ft of multiple other cabins so there’s no privacy. “Private beach” means beach you have to wonder around to find. There’s no water view from this cabin, or anywhere to sit outside and even have a little fire. The walk up to cabin is steep, so just be aware! They’re no railing, it’s just rocks and tree roots, so sort of unstable. The cabin itself is nice. It’s your typical Maine cabin. There’s a tv with spectrum cable in the living room. A nice kitchenette, bathroom and two bedrooms. It’s a nice place to stay, for its close proximity to downtown. I just wish it was more private and actually ON the beach like it sounded it was in the listing.

Cozy Primitive Cabin
Picturesque setting. . . not all space heaters working so made fires to keep warm. Comfortable bedding. Adequate kitchen. Lots of firewood and starters.

Not a good experience
This property was not acceptable to us- it did not have updated electrical connections and we were expected to use multi extension cords laying around on the floors. The heat was inadequate and while using space heaters to warm the cabin up up enough … the circuits continued to break. We felt it was somewhat dangerous to have such connections. There was no real pathway up to the cabin. We ended up using the “yard” to get up to the porch because the other approach was very difficult. The cabin need’s upgrading desperately. The bedding and the kitchen were good.

Not worth the price
Save your money and go camping. The house is not worth it’s luxury price tag. There were cobwebs everywhere upon arrival and sawdust piles on all the walls from some kind of wood-eating bug. No curtains in bathroom so everytime you use the toilet @ night you’re on full display. It also rained a few times while we were there and the moisture never left. Our bath towels, sheets, pillows, furniture were constantly damp…which made the stay uncomfortable. We traveled with a baby and a toddler and no-one slept at night the entire trip. Also worth noting the electrical situation seems sketchy and the path up to the house is dangerous especially if wet. Gave a 3, because location is nice and the management company was responsive the first few days.

Upkeep needed
This cabin was really cute, well equipped, and in a great location. The deck was really peaceful, and the private beach was a beautiful walk away with nice views. For future renters just note it is a log cabin in the woods so expect bugs, especially spiders. The window and door screens are older so bugs will get in. Usually I don’t mind bugs and I often go camping, but there were webs about the kitchen equipment and some small insects I believe to be springtails on the cutting boards and along most wooden surfaces, we had to keep all food in the fridge, and we ended up leaving a day early because of this. An older review mentioned plenty of firewood for the fireplace, we couldn’t find any so we called about it and about the location and access card for the private beach that was mentioned in the listing. This property is run by vacasa so contacting the owners was a hassle, we had to call the third party and were initially told firewood and the beach access was not included and suggested we cut our own firewood and then hung up on us. We called a second time and spoke to someone else who opened a ticket, then someone else called us back and told us places we could buy firewood and that the owner would call us about the access card, the owner called after and informed us the beach access card was mistakenly taken by the last renters and was in the mail back, they ensured we could still use the beach we just needed to inform the beach attendant our situation. We had to look up online how to find our way to the beach, which was well worth it at least. And we did enjoy the fireplace after heading out to buy some firewood. Overall, we still enjoyed our vacation, but will probably not book through vacasa again.

So Adorable
This is such a cute cabin and great place to visit. The Boothbay Harbor area was so much fun to explore. I would definitely recommend families or a couple to come stay at this cabin. It was clean and the living space was perfect for being close with enough room to spread out. The bedrooms and bathroom is a bit tight but completely doable for a vacation. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who is considering coming to Boothbay Harbor for a visit.

A rustic getaway
We very much enjoyed the change of pace, the neighborhood, and the design of the cabin. The furniture was comfortable, the blankets were cozy, and the views were lovely! We did experience a blown fuse overnight just running the electric heater, so we woke up to a very cold cabin. The ground is visible through the floor boards, there is no insulation, and the kitchen window kept popping open, so I was glad to have brought cozy slippers and booked a weekend before the mosquitoes are out. The cleaning person definitely did a great job with such rustic finishings. When spending over $500 for two nights I hoped for somewhat more luxury than we experienced. Still, a fun and cozy weekend.

Quiet Log Cabin with Ambiance
This log cabin was exactly as advertised and pictured. It is located in a very quiet wooded environment .The TV and internet both worked well. The kitchen is small but well supplied with toaster, microwave, and coffee maker . The hot water temperature and pressure were good. The large stone fireplace is both attractive and functional but fireplace wood is not furnished so one needs to buy that elsewhere, The primary heating source is electrical heaters. The cabin has a comfortable rustic ambiance -especially when the fireplace has a fire burning.

Cozy Cabin in a quiet neighborhood
This cabin was in a perfect location to get to town...the harbor, restaurants, etc. Beds are comfy. Cabin was clean & had everything you needed. Only thing I wanted to mention that people may be need to be aware of is that if you have any difficulty walking, the walk up to the cabin may be a little difficult to navigate. It rained our first night there so we had to be extra careful taking the steps down to our car. But hearing the rain on the rooftop was so relaxing!
