I wish the pool were a little warmer. It was quiet until our 3rd day when 2 very noisy families arrived and you couldn’t use the porch because of the noise. I’d love to have had a door between the sink area and the bedroom.

The view driving up is lovely; unfortunately, we were a bit let down otherwise. They turned us away from the restaurant as I think a wedding party was taking up a lot of their efforts. We went to the grocery store to get dinner. On top of that, parking was limited and we parked in the second of their two alternate options, which we believe was over the septic. The room was a bit smaller than I expected and the power lines somewhat marred the view. On top of that, communication was excessive- for example, I’ve received 3 texts from them today and we checked out this morning.

It was very quiet and nice. Little shocked we were above the kitchen but adjusted quickly as we were able to open the window and the views were fantastic! Food was fantastic but the wait times were a bit much.

Great value for location, season
This lodge has been recently updated — and that mostly showed well, though the execution in some places (e.g., the bathroom) felt a bit spotty and I’m not sure the design was really thought out (very few hooks, no shelves, half shower door that sprays water across the floor). I liked the minimal design and space in the king deluxe room was good, though we didn’t really use the table and probably would have preferred a couch or chairs. AC is a window unit, which was fine for the space. The views were incredible, the pool a nice respite from the heat and well kept. The bed was quite comfortable, food surprisingly good for a hotel restaurant (albeit not wildly creative), and the parking plentiful. The staff were also quite nice and very accommodating. It would have been nice to have water in the room upon entry. There was a shack with “ice and vending” near us, but the ice machine was out of commission, there was no vending machine, and when I say shack, I’m being generous.

If you want a place where you can have peace and quiet, on the premises dining, a sunset view over the ocean, swimming opportunities, and time to decompress, Ocean Point Inn is the right choice. I enjoyed sitting by the water's edge (at high tide) and just enjoying the scenery and quietness of the small cove. People seemed relaxed, laid back, and not in a hurry to zip around. A good place for bicycle riding. If you want shopping experiences, Boothbay Harbor is only a short ride away. The staff was unbelievably friendly and professional as well as the dining staff with excellent menu choices. I would definitely stay at Ocean Point Inn again!! 5 stars!

It's right on the water. Updated and very clean rooms. It was nice having a restaurant right in the motel for three meals a day. Wonderful location. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful room with harbor view
We had a beautiful and romantic cottage-like room in a small building right on the water, with a harbor view from the window. The property is in a neighborhood of vacation homes, so there are plenty of safe places to stroll, including some perfect sunset/sunrise spots that were an easy walk from our room. And a little porch/veranda right outside our room to relax and view the harbor.

We had a wonderful stay at Bluebird Inn. Check in was easy and communication was excellent before, during and after our stay. We had a wonderful view off our 2nd floor porch with rocking chairs. Very quiet and great views.
