We loved staying at Casa de las Montañas. Its a new building, architecturally designed, and well laid out to create a comfortable flow for guests around the property. We were the first weekend arrivals, so we got to choose our room. We recommend it. "Quetzal" was spacious, had a massive picture window with a vast view of the mountains, a large, new, comfortable bed, a cozy private patio, and a luxurious "rain" shower with great light that inspired some fun photography!
Our hosts, Manzer and Terry, couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. They quickly booked several adventures for us, including horseback riding, a tour of a local coffee farm… they even invited us to join them to see a local stage production. We felt instantly at home. Their happy hour on the front terrace was a nice way to meet people from all over the world, which in our case included Canadians, New Yorkers, and Italians.
The food was excellent too. Manzer cooks directly from his private kitchen, and every day features a breakfast from another part of the world. Add in a daily dose of the world class local coffee, and the relentless glorious birdsong from the mountains surrounding you, and you've got a pretty unforgettable experience.
