Our room was in the annexe, which is down a staircase from the reception area. Corridor lights operate on sensors, which give something of a horror film vibe when going to your room.
The room itself had seen better days. It felt a little cramped, and the furniture was showing signs of age. There was a lingering damp smell which we couldn't get rid of, even with the window open. The bed was a small double, with only two pillows provided.
The bathroom was fine, although the shower bracket could not be tightened, so as soon as the shower was turned on, the head flicked back, resulting in the bathroom getting flooded.
The public areas of the hotel are far better maintained. The bar terrace was lovely and has a view towards West London.
Breakfast buffet was reasonable.
Overall, we had no major issues, but we wouldn't rush back.
