Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 2 nights while we were visiting Salem. We enjoyed the accessibility to the surrounding stores and restaurants, it was less than 10 minutes to get to either a restaurant or the Square One Mall. Our room was clean, and we didn’t have any problems during our stay. The only hurdle we had was that the hotel doesn’t accept cash as a payment, and being from Canada we had taken American cash with us. I read online from the site and it stated they accept cash but when we arrived the front desk worker told us they no longer accept cash payments. Overall, it was a great stay and we would definitely stay here again.

By far the worst experience ever. There was a mice in my room. And going through that was very traumatic for the reason being that I couldn’t sleep due to fear of finding another one in the new room.

This Red Roof is not fancy, but is clean and reasonable, and super convenient to all kinds of great dining, shopping, and,(especially), the AIRPORT! The cleaning staff we experienced were excellent and friendly. I would use this Hotel again.

A bunch of outlets did not work in the room. There was tape covering the ceilings sprinkler system. Water marks all over the popcorn ceiling. The microwave did not work - we had to go downstairs to the employee break room to heat up our food.

Getting in and out of the parking lot was very stressful. You basically exit from/enter onto a highway. Not the hotel's fault but the location isn't ideal because of that. The restaurant next door is very good though. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are clean. A very solid hotel given the pricepoint. Saugus is about hallway between Boston and Salem so this is a good place to stay if you're planning on visiting both of those cities.

Front desk staff were very friendly. For one night stay, the room was good. What I found a little odd was the sink being outside of the bathroom so it was hard not waking the other person staying in the room. Also hearing people making noise in the hallway throughout the night was a little frustrating otherwise the hotel was fine for a quick stay.

The room was expensive and the attendant offered a lower price to the person ahead of me for the same room when i booked ahead. The sheets were gross. I had to get new ones twice. One looked like it had bodily fluids in it or on them. The person at the counter argued over whether or nit the sheets were clean even when i showed them to them. Gross. And the air conditioner was extremely loud and rattled, keeping us up most the night. Stayed in 228. Not good at all.

The hotel only had 1 luggage cart. They charged my card before I arrived because the “hotel was sold out” which I was not notified about. I had wanted to switch the booking to another card. The front desk clerk was not very sympathetic or friendly.
