Staff was great. Very friendly. The room was clean. The hallway and entry area need some work. It was very noisy around the exterior. Guests made me feel unsafe. You could hear yelling in rooms. One guest was very creepy, didn’t understand personal space and tried to touch me.

I stayed for two nights and asked for a king size bed so they gave me a dirty handicap room. There was still hair ties in the floor left over from other guests. Then after a long day I went to bed early, even though the room next store had people that were INSANELY loud. They were coughing, spitting, arguing! By 4 am I finally had enough so I baked in the wall to tell them to be quiet which they did for a little bit but by night 2 they were back at it again. It sounded like a family of five or six, oh, and I could see from outside that they had a cat in the room with them. Finally at around midnight the second night I asked to be moved to a different room. The young man at the front desk was helpful in getting us another cleaner room. However in this room the tub would not drain after I showered. All in all I will not be staying at another red roof even though the guy at the front desk was helpful and apologized. There should be a way to check who comes in and out of the hotel. Speaking of which, at midnight when I was switching rooms, a young man walked right in the front door and directly up onto the elevator with us. When we gave him a look like “you’re obviously not starting here” he just said “ I’ve had a really rough “ clearly indicating he was just planning on squatting there somewhere. The layout of the place should be so that this can’t happen but it’s not. The elevator is right through the front door and the front desk is off to the right, hidden behind a large pole

The red light at night in the entrance was unique, room and bed was spacious. There was no way to dehumidify the room from shower, so whole room was sticky and gross for four days straight. No shower curtain liner so water would soak the entire bathroom.

Property is dated and has a stale smell. The floor says smoke free but still smells as if years ago it was once a smoking floor that was now “cleaned” and put as a non smoking smell. Expected experience based on price, though still a little expensive for the quality. It’s been 4 days and still haven’t received my deposit back so I’d say the processing time of check out and refund and even receiving a receipt is quite delayed.

Great staff and served it purpose for our needs. Location was great. Room was clean and had everything you need.Only issue was an intoxicated man who says he lives there was very annoying while we were in the designated smoking area.

Our room smelled like sewage and the elevator was so rickety we took the stairs. Never saw house keeping over the three nights, had to go ask for more towels… only one body towel and one hand towel provided in the room. The floor was sticky. Just gross. We will never stay there again.

The only working elevator of two is on the verge of breaking and killing someone, the doors will close on your arm and it shakes and drops at each floor. The hotel itself is outdated and in disrepair, open electrical boxes, mismatched paint and no exhaust van in the bathroom. Would not stay here ever again.

We utilized this option for a last minute trip to Salem in October. The price was good for our timing. There was only one working elevator which was always busy. The room was nice but not as clean as it could be. Example was last users toothpaste dried on the side of the sink. Some significant cracks in the wall of the room. A huge section of the back of the bathroom door was replaced and not well done. Looks like a very rough patch job. It did have comfy beds, a desk if you needed to work. Fridge was nice, microwave was okay. Water pressure in shower was awesome. Grocery store right across the street.
