Very interesting boutique hotel in the fringe of the city. Many dining options around the block and a Mexican resto pub in the same building.

Best feature is the location. The neighbourhood itself is very nice, and with lots of fun places to eat. It's easy to walk to downtown/the Public Garden as well. I didn't take advantage of the amenities, so can't comment there. The wifi worked well. Easy bus/train options nearby at Back Bay. Parking is difficult (street parking not possible for more than 2 hours Mon-Sat, practically no available spots on Sundays, although there are garages a short walk away). Depending on what you intend to do during your stay, you might be better off not bringing a car. The bathroom situation might not appeal to everyone, but they are very upfront about that. Bathrooms are regularly cleaned, and in good condition. In general the hotel is clean and well-maintained, and everyone is friendly.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was great and the bathroom facilities were kept clean by staff regularly. The hotel is located in a nice area that was easily walkable and the restaurant directly next to the hotel served great food. Overall, great service by staff and I would definitely stay here again

The property was amazing. The lobby with the fireplace was a nice touch. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Was within walking distance of the Boston Common, library, old south church, and many other attractions. The shared bathrooms were never an issue. They were always clean and accessible during our entire stay. There’s a 7-11 across the street that was very convenient as well. Highly recommended this property. Would stay here again.

We only stayed at The Revolution for one night. It’s a very distinct hotel with the friendliest, most dedicated staff. We arrived around 10:30 PM and check in was a breeze! Our room was spotless and met our need for a place to sleep a couple of hours before catching our next flight. The bed is comfortable. Our only complaint is the noise level inside the hotel. There was screaming in the hallway, loud music, and doors slamming all night. That will vary based on guests though. Overall, our stay was positive and we recommend The Revolution Boston!

Easy to walk to many of Boston’s sites, restaurants, and shopping areas. The hotel itself is very clean and has the friendliest staff. We arrived early and they offered to see if our room was ready, and if not, offered to hold our luggage. Take advantage of the parking garage discount they offer.

I like the price for the room. I am not a huge fan of having to trek down the hall to use the bathroom. However I did do it in the middle of the night and was able to get back to sleep after. I would stay here again. Clean property. A few things needed to be fixed but most everything was excellent.

I was pleasantly surprised by this property! I was a little skeptical when booking a king size room that had a shared bathroom down the hall; but the bathroom situation far exceeded my expectations. Essentially, it's a small conglomerate of individual bathrooms with their own vanity, shower, and toilet, And very small common space with additional towels if needed. It was far more private than anticipated With the layout akin to that of a gym. The cleanliness of the showers was impeccable and maintained all throughout the day and even the night. Rooms were so comfortable and had all the essentials. Would highly recommend.

I picked this hotel because I love the area around it so much that I was willing to roll the dice to stay in budget. The room itself was clean and the bed was fine, but that’s where it ended for me. I was put in a room right next to the elevator, so throughout the night I would wake up to the elevator dinging and a voice saying “Second floor”. My floor must have been particularly rowdy, because I heard people talking until about 2 in the morning along with doors opening and closing all night so that people could use the shared bathrooms. On that topic, let’s call the shared bathrooms what they are - inconvenient. They do a great job in making them accommodating with a shower tote bag in your room and they keep them very clean, but it wasn’t for me (especially when you wake up in the middle of the night from the noise and need to get dressed to run down the hall to use one of them). If you’re young and in a budget I’m sure this hotel would be great for you, but if you’re traveling for work and want to get some sleep there are better options on the south end.
