Thought the double room was pretty small considering the price we paid, Dsappointed with the room overall and the bathroom/shower was tiny with sink outside in the room.
Lovely hotel, nice room, small but had all essential amenities. Bed was very hard to sleep on. Beautiful breakfast and staff were very nice. Good location in low town. Parking is behind the hotel. Ensure you have carpark postcode as we didnt have email confirmation of our booking, so carpark was awkward to find in one way system. Had a lovely stay though. Lovely weather, lovely town.
The staff at The Falcon are extremely helpful and friendly. The Indian restaurant good value. Breakfast was average. However we left after our first night (two nights booked) because the smell in our room unbearable (drains) which they had tried to mask with air freshener which made it worse. The bathroom was the smallest I’ve ever seen and again the smell coming up through the plug holes was awful. The room was large but bed was uncomfortable and had a feather duvet which for allergy suffers was a no go.
Lovely friendly staff who can’t do enough for you. Clean rooms comfy beds. Slightly quirky noisy plumbing but that is to be expected in an old building.
