We were welcomed by friendly staff, check-in and check-out processes were quick. The room is clean and tidy, good air conditioning. The bed is comfortable. Excellent location! Just the number of plugs are not quite sufficient. Would be nice if they could have USB-C sockets by the bed.

Always a great welcome and this time fresh cookies and a glass of bucks fizz. Didnt really have the hand capacity but wasnt about to say no. Room on floor 4 was large and well equipped. My only gripe would be window soundproofing. Its a city centre hotel and its a rowdy spot on a Fri night. Overall a very clean well equipped hotel. Staff an absolute delight

Really nice hotel, great location in the centre of Bristol. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, and the room was very comfortable and spotless. The only downside was the breakfast buffet which was chaotic. The 'help yourself' style results in people climbing over each other to get to the food that has just arrived from the kitchen, and its all gone almost immediately so we had to wait around for more. Also our table was cleared halfway through breakfast when we'd gone back up to the buffet for a few more things, resulting in us having to order more tea and coffee. Table service would work better!

Great location for exploring the city. Our room was large and comfortable, and well serviced. There were a couple of minor maintenance issues in the room which were sorted straight away. The restaurant and bar was run by Miller and Carter, the food and restaurant service was very good. The bar service was slow, they ran out of port by the second night of our stay and although they had a cocktail menu they wouldn’t make a simple Negroni as it wasn’t on the menu, they had the ingredients. So we thought the bar was a bit limited for a hotel of this caliber. Apart from this we thought it was a great hotel with great staff, we would definitely use it again.

Nice upmarket hotel (but you might need earplugs)
I was very impressed with this hotel. Nice and classy, friendly receptionists. Central location. Room rate was acceptable. But unfortunately the breakfast and the parking is a bit pricey. My room was quite luxurious. Unfortunately it was facing the cathedral. Beautiful view but the bells rung every 15mins (all night long). Luckily I had remembered to bring my earplugs to help block it out. Otherwise I wouldn't have got any sleep at all.

Stayed for a wedding reception. Excellent service, lovely rooms and a great meal at miller and carter. Our second stay and I still highly recommend everything about our stay, from comfortable beds, to a well equipped gym and fantastic central location.

We have the most pleasant stay at the beautiful Marriott Royal Hotel. We were early on the date of arrival and there was no problem checking in early at all. The receptionist greeted us cheerfully and explained everything to us clearly. The rooms we got are on the top floor and they are clean and everything functional. The hotel is at a very convenient location in the city center, walking distance to attractions and restaurants. Exactly what we want We would love to stay here again next time we visit Bristol
