The tiny is home to indigenous trees, wildlife, and natural flora and fauna, making it an ideal farm stay WA getaway where you can disconnect from the hustle and bustle of city life.

P.S. Campers are welcome to explore along the river and throughout the treed areas.

The Space:
McCabe Farm by Tiny Away is located in Brookton, one of the Wheatbelt region’s most peaceful holiday homes, just an hour’s drive from Perth. A family-run regenerative farm nestled in the woods that promotes a simple, sustainable lifestyle in nature, near Mout Brown Lookout, Boyagin Nature Reserve, and York Motor Museum.

A comfortable 139-square-foot tiny home situated next to a picturesque stream, enveloped by a verdant canopy of trees, and all the modern amenities of home. Complete with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, a hand basin, and a gas-heated shower for hot showers.

If you plan to spend your farm stay WA getaways here, we advise that you bring your basic necessities, such as food and water during your stay with us. Thank you.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please advise that there may be agricultural noise as we are a working farm that tends to farm animals. For a well-rested stay, we recommend that guests bring earplugs with them.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny home and its surroundings, except for the farm sheds and machinery which guests have restricted access. Please read our house and farm policies below for more details.

McCabe Farm sits in the tranquil neighborhood of Brookton, in Western Australia's Wheatbelt region. Our holiday home is just an hour's drive from Perth, near Mount Brown, Araluen Botanic Park, York Motor Museum, and other attractions.

Our local recommendations:

- Araluen Botanic Park features rare and exotic plants. Its iconic Springtime Tulip Festival, with over 150,000 tulips, is a must-see. Autumn transforms the park into a magical wonderland, making it a year-round destination.
- Perth Observatory is Western Australia’s oldest observatory. For over 125 years, it has offered public outreach and education. Join night tours to view the southern sky, including nebulas, planets, and star clusters.

Getting Around:
By car: All are reachable with 2WD.

By public transport: We recommend guests travel by private vehicle as there are no public transports available directly from our property.

- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge

Farm guidelines

- Always remember to shut the gates before entering and leaving the paddocks
- Please do not enter animal paddocks or yards without the land host's permission
- We also ask guests not to feed farm animals as they are on specific diets for their health

Important note:

- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.

The stars!
The tiny home is located right next to the Avon River South, which was flowing when we were there. The view across the farm is beaut but the real treat is at night when the stars come out, just amazing. Lachlan is an excellent host; friendly, quick with communication and helpful. I really recommend this place.
