Room was nothing like it showed in the photos. Bed was comfortable and clean. Room was very old and tiny. Bathroom was very old and had a big crack in the sink. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Couldn’t say anything bad about them

Loved visiting Chester and this hotel was in a great location. We walked every where. Great breakfast buffet including swans looking in the window at us.

The journey from reception/restaurant to our room was rather long - two lift journeys and a walk across a bridge; unfortunately one of the lifts was out of order so we had to walk up three flights of stairs. Unfortunately my wife is not very mobile and struggled a bit. I don't remember anything during the booking process that mentioned that we could request a room on a low floor.

The hotel was lovely although the small room was v v v hot. Only can open the window a couple of inches. Would be better to be able to open it fully. Thankfully there was a fan but with a very short flex so it didn't reach us in the bed. That said we had a great stay. Chester is a beautiful city. Cathedral is a must.

We had an overnight stay with breakfast and used the bar in the evening... The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was good and the bar service was very good... All in all the stay was very good, and the best part was the friendly, attentive staff who were excellent.
