We loved our 4 day stay at the Lucca. Great location, great room and great staff. Hans, the owner, is amazing. A true “in-keeper” with extensive knowledge of Brugge and its surrounding areas. He genuinely goes above and beyond to ensure each guest has an enjoyable stay at his beautiful establishment.
Old hotel that has been well-maintained with a very friendly and organized proprietor. Location is safe, quiet and easily walkable to anything you would want in the city.
Fantastic stay, a warm welcome from the owner. Rooms were eclectic and spotless. Lovely quiet location and a fantastic breakfast with plenty of coffee, lovely fresh fruit, cheese, meat and pastries.
I can’t recommend this hotel enough! Excellent location, just a few blocks from the market but on a very quiet street. The whole property is beautiful and historical. The owner was warm and welcoming. Rooms are spacious, beautiful and quiet. We won’t stay anywhere else when we’re in Bruges!
I enjoyed my stay . The attractions were within walking distance. Breakfast was delicious. Hans, the owner is friendly and takes pride in his property. A delightful stay. I’ll be back.
Our stay at the hotel Lucca was just wonderful! Hans is an exceptional host, very kind and attentive to details and goes to any extra miles to make your time there fantastic. The breakfast was healthy, rich and in a phenomenal atmosphere with classic music on the background, our family very much appreciate. Mary & Fabio
The inn keeper was very helpful and provided warm hospitality. Hans recommended the free shuttle to the train station so we could catch an early flight & sent us off with pastries! I highly recommend that you stay at Hotel Lucca when visiting Bruge
The proprietor, Hans, was incredibly hospitable in this beautiful and exceptionally well located boutique hotel.
He and the hotel have all the charm you could hope for and we were only sorry not to have had the opportunity to stay longer...on this occasion.
We had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel. We were greeted warmly by Hans, who had remembered that we were there celebrating a special occasion and congratulated us straight away. He had responded to our room request and the allocated room was beautiful - spacious with a kettle, hair dryer and shower over the bath: the bed was extremely comfortable. Lots of storage space too.
Breakfast was delicious and plentiful - an excellent range of things to choose from and a very relaxed atmosphere in the gorgeous 14th century undercroft where it is served.
The hotel's location is ideal - a very quick and easy walk into the centre of Bruges (and a quick taxi ride to the station), but on a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle. Hans was very helpful in making recommendations when asked and with booking us a taxi for our return journey to the station.
We were so pleased we'd chosen to stay here and wouldn't hesitate to return!!
Amazing value for money. We had what must have been 14 foot ceilings with windows nearly that tall, generous bathroom with a nice shower and large soaking tub, and everything was very clean. Breakfast was gorgeous! Very short walk to the main attractions and the owner had cheerful advice for which canal cruise to go for, etc. Would totally stay again.
The owner of the hotel was incredibly nice! We enjoyed our conversations. He is a very good host! The hotel is quaint and peaceful. The breakfast was perfect. He thought of everything we needed for breakfast. I would definitely stay there again.
This hotel is one of a kind. The hotel owner, Hans, is an incredible man who pours all his love and attention into running the hotel. He gives great recommendations too! The ambiance is incredible as the rooms and common areas are decorated with antiques. Would highly recommend having breakfast at the hotel - it is an experience on its own. Location of the hotel couldn’t be any better. If you’re going to Brugges you have to stay here it’s unlike any other hotel experience you have ever had!
This hotel set the standard by which all others will be compared on this trip. It was simply magnificent! The room was spacious and very clean and comfortable. The proprietor was extremely friendly and helpful with planning excursions during our stay in Bruges. The charming breakfast area was in a room that dated back to the 13th century. The breakfast offerings were excellent with many delicious choices.
There are stairs (no lift) that you must navigate but the experience of staying in this beautiful hotel was worth the small challenge of the stairs .
