We were happy with our stay at CityBox. It is self check-in and check-out, which was straight forward, once I found the correct code. Comfortable and clean. Basic but, all that was needed for our stay which was to spend time exploring the city, not the hotel. There is a kitchen and laundry facility for guests to use. We used the kitchen/dining/chill area and stored things in the fridge. Only issue was there were no cups available for making tea/coffee on our last morning, which was disappointing. An improvement would be to have tea/coffee facilities in the room. Overall, a good stay and location for exploring what Brussels has to offer. Lots of shops/restaurants nearby.

Very clean hotel. Area is perfect for public transport. Very noisy outside. Windows could be sound proof. On our second night we were awake from road works at 2 am & we could not sleep. So went to reception to ask for another room. We were given one on the other side of the building which helped. Towels could be bigger. There was no tv in room. Could do with a kettle & cups & no hand towels given.

An honest review
Our small double was what depression feels like… barely any sunlight.. no kettle or TV. Shower was at maximum temperature and was lukewarm. My partner kept waking up with bites all over his body. I feel like we were catfished because the photos look GREAT! Loved Brussels, but will not be staying at Citybox again!

We had an unfortunate experience with bedbugs. I got multiple bites on my face, under my breasts, and on my upper thighs. I am in lots of discomfort and I feel pretty disgusted by it.

The epitome of efficiency
CItyBox is all about efficiency and, if efficiency is your desire, performs well. Don't look for staff--there really aren't any. Kick check-in/check out; keys issued by machine. Maid service only on demand. Tight quarters with no frills but clean, efficient, a soli spot for a place to sleep while working.

The property was good value compared to other properties. Rooms were very small with limited facilities but bed and pillows were super comfortable. Location was easy to get to and a short walk from the metro station. Could hear street traffic though so it was quite noisy. We were on the 2nd floor and it sounded like the noise was directly outside our window. Overall, I would recommend for those on short stays and who will spend most of their time out.

This property is not quiet with the street car (public transport) making it sound like an earthquake every 5 minutes. There is no TV in the room to block out the sound at 2200 when trying to fall asleep & the dryer (€7 to wash & €7 to dry) does not fully dry your cloths. Other than those issues this place would’ve been perfect.

Contemporary, minimal rooms which are beautifully clean and well maintained. Convenient for Eurostar connection to the UK and the shopping within a few steps of the hotel is wonderful!
