Overall not a bad hotel, but be aware of location of the hotel. Shame as the hotel is pretty, clean and had nice amenities inside. Just wish you could pick it up and move it closer to the center of Brussels. To expand, the immediate surrounding area seems run down and many businesses and shops were closed down, the ‘garden square’ in front of the hotel was filled with overgrown weeds, dead plants and probably hasn’t been maintained for months, if not a year. Also, lots of trash and didn’t feel clean nearby. Very busy street along the hotels side and no easy, or safe feeling, way to walk towards the heart of Brussels. Another concern was the knowledge and friendliness of the staff. Asked the two front desk staff for a local laundry to do a small load. Neither could recommend one and so we had to figure out on our own and ventured even further into what seemed like an unsafe and unfriendly area. Second interaction was that the breakfast staff would not allow us to take food up to our two children who were not feeling well one morning. Just tried to take croissants and jams, but they stopped us and told us they would have to come down to the restaurant. Not a lot to ask, especially when breakfast is included with the stay and when children are unwell.
