The hotel staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the Alfama area. The room was very modern and exceptionally clean. Breakfast was great, and the lobby bar was a godsend after a day out exploring.

The room was nice, but had some street noise. The rooftop terrace and bar/restaurant had wonderful views of Coimbra. Everything was walkable, so the car stayed in the parking garage. Highly recommend.

We Enjoyed Watching the Sun Set Over the City
Hotel Oslo is located on a busy street in Coimbra, but the street sounds were muted well by the windows. Our room was very small (almost too small for 2 people), but it was very clean & comfortable. They may have larger rooms; we did not ask because we were only there for one night. The service was good & so was the breakfast. We enjoyed sitting on the roof top deck to watch as the sun set over the city. They had great background music playing on the roof top deck. :)

The street noise was extremely loud!! It was noisy all night long until the sun came up. Ear plugs didn’t help after the first night. Luckily it was just a two night stay. Between the trolley, people, sirens, music and people partying. Not the fault of the hotel. It’s just the location.

hotel has good parking arrangements ( free, but v tight for larger vehicles). Staff were excellent at every level - really helpful for local restaurants, places of interest and history of city. Conveniently placed for access to main city and start of walking routes but Coimbra means lots of upward hills to reach University and some museums. Staff made a real difference

Hotel is in a great location. Sites to see, plenty of dining options all within walking distance. We visited Coimbra as a one day stop, on our drive from Porto on the way to Lisbon, and we were able to see all the important sites, as well as sample the good restaurants for lunch and dinner. The person at the reception, Andre, helped us with directions from hotel and recommendations on nearby great restaurants. Parking across the hotel was very convenient, albeit a little tight in space. All in all, a great stay for us.

Our room was very basic but still we were impressed with Hotel Oslo (and Coimbra in general!) Hotel staff were very helpful, and gave us great recommendations for our evening plans. The rooftop area is as amazing as advertised. The breakfast buffet was plentiful with protein options including eggs. Would definitely stay here again!

The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The terrace shows a beautiful view of the city and very relaxing to sit back and enjoy a drink at the end of the day.the parking a little tight, recommend a smaller vehicle for those driving
