I recently stayed at a five-star hotel with high expectations, but unfortunately, it fell short of even three-star standards. The absence of air-conditioning made the room uncomfortably warm throughout my stay, reaching temperatures of 23-24°C. Despite requesting assistance multiple times, the staff were unhelpful, suggesting I simply open a window, which was impractical due to the ground-floor location exposing me to cigarette smoke and security risks.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by a disappointing sight of hair around the sink and an unclean floor, indicating poor housekeeping standards. The bathroom emitted a foul odor reminiscent of sewerage, making showering an unpleasant experience necessitating keeping the door shut to prevent the smell from spreading.
Overall, my stay was deeply disappointing, and I feel justified in seeking compensation for the numerous shortcomings. Additionally, the Wi-Fi was frustratingly slow, adding to the overall dissatisfaction with the hotel's services.
