Loved the stay, such a caring staff

So many good vegetarian options. Very fulfilling. Staff was soooo good, I have stayed in multiple hotels across the world, but staff at Charles Hotel has been exceptional so far. Like I can't express in words how above and beyond they went to take care of me. One of the staff even lent me his phone charger as mine was lost. They also packed me food on my last day (all veg food) as I had an early flight to catch on. Like best best and best.

The Hotel Charles ticks all the boxes. It is close enough to the city. Restaurants, shopping, bars all walkable and the city centre is a 8 minute bus ride. The hotel staff were very helpful. Istvan and his team were great. Breakfast was also good.

The room I got #89 was a terrible room. Nothing like the photos published by the property. Squeaky doors, no working electrical outlets, you can use either the shower or the sink, because the faucet in the sink is also the shower, which is so weak. The “smart” TV isn’t working. There is a water kettle to in the kitchen area, no coffee or tea or anything, you’d have to buy your own from outside the hotel, and the big joke is that there are ZERO outlets to use, unless you take the kettle to the side of your bed and plug it in there in an unsafe way, is that supposed to be a joke? The faucet in the kitchen sink is broken and the nob comes out when you use, while it clearly shows that it does not belong to the faucet and was done poorly and quickly. Wifi is extremely weak and spotty and I ended up having to purchase data on my phone to use as a hotspot on my laptop so I can get some work done. I am not sure if the room they gave me was just so bad and because they saw 2 Middle Eastern looking men checking-in so they decided to give us their worst room or the entire hotel is like that. In any case, it was a terrible experience.
Kitchen faucet nob is basically useless
Sink and shower at the same time, you’d need to control your shower by reaching out from the shower to the sink faucet which ends up making a mess and flooding the whole bathroom

Staff is amazing. Very kind and helpful, all dressed to a T, very nice. Location was super convenient to downtown, with a 35 min easy walk, or 10 min by one of the many busses serving the immediate vecinity.

Excellent Hotel - Strongly Recommend

Excellent hotel. Located in a quite area but has easy and frequent accessibility to city centre.Rooms are comfortable and extremely spacious and also have a small kitchenette. Lavish Breakfast and with very good choices. Staff are extremely welcoming and very helpful. They go out of their way to help out in explaining the whereabouts and how to reach the prime sites.I would strongly recommend and give full stars rating
