This property worked well for us to be able to walk to many attractions and Spas in both Buda and Pest. Good traditional Hungarian restaurant across the street. The morning buffet had a lot of variety of foods offered.

A great choice of property, this old Monastary has retained its character whilst being cleverly decorated for the purpose of a hotel. The lovely blonde lady receptionist was efficient and professional - very impressive. The restaurant staff and manager were fantastic and delivered a good breakfast. The bedroom carpet was stained and seriously needed spot cleaning. The tissues were empty on our arrival but despite us leaving the box open, they were never replenished. If the hotel is not providing them, at least remove the empty box. The location of the hotel was great with easy access to the public transport, walking distance to the city, shops, restaurants, castle area, river and a local SPAR. We really liked the feel of this hotel and would definitely recommend it. And it has a lift.

Amazing hotel. World class service! Please make sure you also get the breakfast option. Food was fantastic! 6 mins to Chain bridge, 10-15 mins to buda castle hop on, 3 min walk to view the Parliament! Perfect location

Great hotel! Head for the Monastery!
This was a great hotel. Very clean and staff very friendly. Room is well equipped and the shower is very powerful. Great breakfast and also evening cocktails 👌. I would highly recommend this hotel if you don’t mind a little walk into the main part of pest. The hotel is about 15 min walk from the castle and there is a lovely traditional Hungarian restaurant across the road. If I ever return to Budapest I would immediately book this hotel.

The staff at the front desk was excellent! They were all extremely friendly, were extremely accommodating and knowledgeable. They spoke English fluently as we did not speak Hungarian. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The shower was the best we have had in 2 weeks traveling with n Eastern Europe. The only complaint was that the rugs had stains both in the room and in the hallways.

The hotel staff were so welcoming and friendly. Our rooms were cosy, clean and there were a great range of breakfast options in the morning. It was a 30 minute walk, over the bridge, to the centre of Pest and there are plwnty of restaurants near the hotel. We would definitely come back.

The Monastery Hotel is a quiet and welcoming hotel very close to the Danube and within walking distance to the castle. Our room was spacious and clean, the only slight fault was that the carpet had what looked like oil stains on it near the door. Breakfast was good, and there were a couple of local restaurants just across the road which were good value.

I had a fabulous stay. Greay dining options onsite. Very walkable. Convenient. Recommend shampooing carpets in rooms. Some terrible stains. Replace carpet with qoll wood or tile and have throw rugs.

The hotel is very nice and located in the heart of the city. The management has to work on the service. - The reception is polite but not knowledgeable and not greatly helpful. Long waiting time on reception. Despite mentioning 3 times, the issues in the room, zero actions were taken. -The cleaning is way below average and no attention to details. - At the end the invoice was wrong adding breakfast to the room we did not take.

I loved this hotel, stayed many times.Perfect location almost on the Danube river bank close to the chain bridge,Buda castle and Margaret’s Island.I always enjoyed my stay, however it’s need a bit of update/refurbishment now and new pillows.I would return though as I still like it

The boutique was beautiful with 2 highly recommendable restaurants inside the property. The staff are very helpful and pleasant . Very welcoming to the guests. The room is clean and spacious. I will go back here again. Centrally located to the sites you want to see. I would highly recommend this place.
