My wife and I had an excellent stay at The Falcon Hotel. Brilliant location, friend and professional staff throughout, comfortable bed and spacious rooms. The breakfast option was very good and excellent quality. We will definitely return to this hotel when we are next in Bude. Thank you to all the staff :-)

food was lovely and especially the egg poached eggs (well done perfectly cooked) xx fish too was lovely. just wish weather had improved a bit more,and not too windy.
The hotel and location were fantastic.. I enjoyed my stay. The breakfast was also really good. I was really disappointed with the receptionist who was very unprofessional and unfriendly.
I arrived a 2pm to check in and the receptionist told me that I couldn't check in until 3pm. She did not offer to keep my bags or recommend anywhere I could go to wait. I then went to wait in the bar area. I checked my email and it clearly stated that check in was as at 2pm!
So I went back to her and politely asked if I could check in if the room was ready. She responded unkindly saying "sorry, we can't check you in earlier than our check in time". I then asked if the room was ready and if she could make an exception. She responded, "No, ALL the rooms are currently NOT ready, non of the rooms are ready!". Clearly that's a lie! So I showed her my booking confirmation which clearly stated 2pm - and then she said because I didnt book directly, I cannot check in early!! what?!
So I asked to speak with the manager. The manager came and radioed the house keeper who clearly said all rooms were ready! Then the receptionist gave me the key!
This was clearly a power trip and I felt discriminated against. Especially then seen that other guests had checked in.. I wondered if it had anything to do with the way I look.
Beautiful hotel, amazing staff. Bed super comfy and a lovely view over the canal and the resident's secret garden.
Breakfast was beautiful. The only down side was that as the hotel is a beaufiful old building with gorgeous sash windows, the windows rattled in their casings all night. I managed a very broken nights sleep snatching half hours sleep here and there, so was very tired the next day.
That said I would love to return, I would just take a wooden door wedge of some sort with me. (Or ear plugs if you are a light sleeper) A small niggle to an otherwise wonderful stay. Big shout out to Pip on reception who greeted us with a wonderful welcome.
The hotel did not disappoint us in any way, convenient, friendly, comfortable and great quality. We had an extended stay as a family gathering, and we were very comfortable there, and appreciated their friendly, courtesy staff.
Fantastic hotel. Great location for beach, town and canal. Staff were always helpful and friendly. Food was excellent . The hotel has its own car parking area, which was good. We would definitely stay there again if we get a chance
We attended a friends wedding anniversary The Falcon had been their original wedding venue.It was a lovely hotel situated in a very picturesque location. The staff were all very friendly and helpful we would highly recommend
