Country charms

With mountain air to complement the sleepy streets, you won’t have a problem relaxing in Bundanoon. Just strolling down the streets and popping into the craft shops, nurseries, great art galleries and the little museum will recharge your batteries with warm country vibes. National park pleasures

The northern gateway to Morton National Park, Bundanoon is a fab spot to base yourself and explore the green escapes on its doorstep. As one of the largest national parks in NSW, there are tonnes of well-marked bushwalking trails winding through it, past native flowers, rainforest gullies, brilliant lookouts and picnic spots. Southern Highlands

The rolling green hills of the Southern Highlands are more than just pretty to look at. They help to create some delicious cool climate wines! So don’t miss a lovely road trip around the region for some fine drops and bites, with a stop at Berrima, Mittagong, Moss Vale or Kangaroo Valley. You’ll also find lovely retreats and some great golf around the area, and more bushwalking tracks and spectacular natural scenery. Bowral is also home to the International Cricket Hall of Fame.

Getting there

Bundanoon is exactly half way between Sydney and Canberra and under two hours’ drive from both, making it super easy for a night or a sneaky weekend away. It’s also just over an hour inland from Wollongong. If you’re not a local, we have flights to Sydney and flights to Canberra to get you (nearly) there!
