The entire three bedroom family farm house (sleeps 6) is available for your own private use, for weekend, midweek extended stays &TV commercials. There is a minimum stay of 2 nights

Coolabah Farm House is nestled on 100 acres, located between the Southern Highlands and Goulburn which is an easy 2 hour drive from Sydney CBD.

HOUSE DESCRIPTION:
The house has been restored for a rustic, open plan, farmhouse experience. The house sleeps up to 6 guests and the bedding arrangements consist of a king bed, bouble bed, & queen bed. All beds are fitted with electric blankets & all bedrooms are fitted with ceiling fans. Air conditioning and flatscreen TVs in king room.

The house has a newly renovated bathroom with shower & basin. Towels & hairdryer provided. There is a combined internal laundry & mud room with washing machine & dryer.

An open plan, rustic, fully equipped kitchen with a 3m stone island bench, 6 large pull out draws, double door stainless steel fridge/freezer, a DeLonghi electric cooktop oven, coffee pod machine, microwave & dishwasher. Tea towels, pots/pans, glasses, crockery,
utensils, tea/ coffee provided.

An open plan living area with 2x 3 seater leather lounges & flat screen TV. Combustion wood fireplace, fan and air conditioner.

TO DO AND SEE:
Come and admire some true Australia history. A hand crafted 60 year old, hay shed.

Feed the chickens and collect their eggs. (When in season) We have Silkies & Araucana the famous blue egg layers.

Meet the sheep, lambing season is always a wonderful sight.

Greet our cute miniature ponies & Shetland ponies.

Take a bush walk on the 100 acres & spot some native animals. Do some bird watching, there are many Australian native birds that visit the property.

Spotting the night time animals is another favourite activity.

Relax on the swinging bay bed.
Talk a walk up to the hill at the back of the property, such a lovely view from there.

Watch the kids as they play in the cubby house.

Do some reading and relax on the outside swinging chair

Horse riding available upon prior request at additional cost.

Coolabah Farm House is only 10km from Bungonia National Park, where you can venture on a bush walk, visit a cave, see the amazing waterfall or just get in touch with nature.

Goulburn is only 25km away, via Bullamalite Rd, where you will find many retail stores & eateries.

Visit a local winery to try some locally produced wines. only 10km away.

We are pet friendly however please let us know in advance if you are bringing your pet.

Base price is based on a family of 4, additional fees apply for additional guests, after the 4th guest, per night.
There's a private patio. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. A Smart television and a DVD player are provided for your entertainment, while complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected. The bathroom has a shower and a hair dryer. Farm stay was so tranquil and relaxing away from the city life. View from backyard is breathtaking. There is a swing lounge in the backyard. Great place to relax and read a book. Backyard was fenced in and great for dogs. It's big with plenty of area for the dogs to move around in. The farm animals were so cute. Fed the horses and baby Shetland ponies. There are sheep, chickens and roosters on the land. Great walks along country roads. Our stay was very enjoyable.

We thoroughly enjoyed the stay at this farm house at Bungonia. The house had modern appliances and yet maintained the heritage settings inside. It was good to mingle with the animals around.

Great farm with beautiful animals and fantastic setting. So calm and relaxing. House reasonably comfortable. Kitchen - All mod cons and clean. Bedrooms great size and comfy beds. Would recommend upgrading bedding as a little worn. Windows needed cleaning and the living area also. I think the house had been shut up over winter perhaps. Great outdoor eating space. Was expecting a fire pit outside as advertised but was not available. Great wifi. Overall an ok experience. It’s the farm and animals that make this place

Easter Getaway
This was our second stay at this property. The location is incredibly peaceful with lovely views from the back patio. The kids love petting the ponies and checking for eggs, and it’s a bonus that dogs are welcome. The Bungonia NP up the road is also worth a visit.

Gorgeous area with awesome views across the paddocks. So peaceful and quiet but with lots to look at and do - the ponies and sheep/lambs are great to walk amongt. Accomodation was styled (super cool designs wherever you look) and easy/convienent. We will be back and thank you too.

Amazing farm house
My wife and I stayed for three nights with our dog and had an amazing time. The house is very clean and full of everything you need to cook inside, picnic outside, BBQ or anything else you’d like to do. The land is perfect for walks and our dog enjoyed having a swim in the dams. The communication with the host is excellent and I would highly recommend this stay.

Family fun
The farm house is beautiful, clean and well equipped for cooking, relaxing, and peaceful picnics in the garden. Our 2 yr old granddaughter loved feeding the chooks and conversing with the ponies, and we took a couple of short walks on the property where she enjoyed some rock hopping and dirt collecting, and saw the sheep. Bungonia National Park is a short drive away, and has stunning scenery. A perfect few days of family fun.

We had a fantastic relaxing few days , waking with the sunrise (hows the serenity ) ,feeding the chooks and ponies , wandering the property , checking out the stars at night and chilling out in front of the log fire with a good book ,the house was perfectly set up with everything we needed and the owners were so easy to deal with and were more than helpful and our city dog Clancy now thinks she is a country girl .

Great house on a lovely private property. Kids loved collecting eggs and feeding animals and playing cricket in the orchard. Due to the proximity of dams and livestock, there was also an abundance of flies and mosquitoes so Bring your aeroguard! Please note that the outdoor pizza oven, fire pit and outdoor fire cooker cannot be used in Spring, Summer or Autumn.

The wide horizon
This is a charming farm house, updated to a high standard. It has open living spaces and good sized bedrooms. The absolute best feature is the wide view over farm lands from all sides, but especially from the terrace. No better place to have a drink and contemplate nature. Great for a peaceful getaway . We were well prepared for the house being a little remote from the village, but the host had provided a lot of thoughtful little treats and supplies, so we were exceptionally well catered for.

A wonderful getaway
The place was beautiful. My kids (7 and 5) had a great time collecting eggs, climbing in the cubby house and exploring the property. I had a few queries during my stay but Antoinette was always quick to reply with help. I'd recommend bringing a book and some board games and take advantage of the opportunity to put down the screens.

Quirky Farm House
This property has some of the most quirky pieces I’ve ever seen used to decorate a house. Whoever was involved in putting this place together, congraz on exceeding all expectations of a farm house. I wish that we stayed longer. The ammenities were amazing however the weather didn’t allow us to utilise it to its full potential. Oh well, next time. We did have a minor problem with the water pump due to the non stop down pour over the weekend. Never fear, our hosts were very prompt in attending to our problems & offered to drive up from Sydney to fix it. You guys rock!!! We managed anyway & fixed it the next morning but appreciated your gesture. Would highly recommend this location for a getaway with other couple or a family.

Relaxing Weekend.
We had a wonderful, relaxed weekend here. The kids loved having the freedom to roam around as we wanted. They thoroughly enjoyed feeding the chickens and seeing the sheep. Great space with a well stocked and functional kitchen.

Fun, Adventure and Relaxation - exactly what we needed!
Spent a wonderful 6 nights at Coolabah Farm House. The house was very well presented and comfortable and the property is so beautiful. We had a great time feeding the chickens, cooking pizzas on the wood fire oven, exploring the shearer’s shed and watching the sheep graze in the paddock... including 5 newborn lambs! We loved every second and can’t wait to come back again soon!

Slow and steady farm stay
Comfortable property that is well maintained. We enjoyed our stay which was slow and relaxing. Our 3 year old enjoyed seeing the animals and the fires (winter only). You are very isolated, but was ok for us.

City Escape
Property was as advertised - stylish clean and well stocked, including wood setup to be burned both inside and out - which was much appreciated. The chickens were generous so we enjoyed farm fresh eggs both mornings for breakfast. We would have enjoyed a little more animal interaction for my two young daughters but appreciate this wasn’t a “petting zoo” and enjoyed that aspect of it as it was a new experience for us, being on a farm property, independently. My young daughters also enjoyed the swing, ball games and tree house. All and all a great escape to the well decorated and maintained country Home with beautiful Rolling hill scenery speckled with sheep to enjoy.

A great house, property and host
We really enjoyed our getaway. We arrived and the fire and bonfire were both ready to light. The kids loved exploring the property and collecting the chicken eggs. The host, Antoinette, was excellent with communication and confirming the booking. The farm house was clean, stylish, well equipped and relaxing. We were concerned about the winter chill, but the house was well heated with electric blankets, heaters in each room, and beautiful wood fire. We enjoyed the pizza oven, outdoor dining area, and exploring the shearing shed. An earlier review said the property has no phone reception. The house in fact has great Telstra reception. That said, I was a little disappointed my phone had reception! Switch off, slow down and just enjoy farm life. We hope to return.
