Indigo Beach Hotel was an absolute paradise. The hotel (or it should be called a resort) was amazingly clean and well kept up. The food was absolutely delicious from breakfast, lunch and dinner and the service and hospitality was the best I’ve experience in my last 3 years of global travel.
We stayed in one of the beach front villas which felt like being right on the sand in front of the water. The villa was very clean, open and airy, with windows and doors you can open to provide an amazing beach experience.
During the day we chose from a number of things to do which included, laying on the beach chairs in front of our villa, going to the pool, walked the beach tie Paje (45 min walk), rented a mo-ped ($25 all day) to cruise up to Rock Restaurant and took a dala dalal (2,000 shilling / per person) to Stone Town for the day.
On our last night, they provided a complimentary private honeymoon dinner which was absolutely delicious and the decorations were beautiful. What an amazing stay at Indigo, I would defiantly stay there again!
Thank you to the staff for the great food, cleanliness of the property and accommodation and for the hotel Masai for helping us get a cab at 4:30am to the airport after our first cab never showed.
