Absolutely awful! Dirty, noisy, TV
not working, staff not helpful with ordering a taxi to ferry terminal. Even Calais tourist office said not to stay in this accomodation. Overall the worst wannabe hotel I've ever stayed in.
Room smelt stale. Shower was cold. WiFi didn’t work. Supposed to have twin beds but it was a double in one of the rooms. Toilet seat didn’t fit properly. Definitely won’t be staying here again.
Horrible place. Filthy. Cold windows dont close. Employees try to rob you. Shows a picture of a fancy castle but really is a 1940s dump falling apart in the middle of tourist area.
I booked this hotel Monday Sept 16 2019 afternoon and called to inform them of late arrival......I was told there was no booking in my name, even though my card was charged! I told them I had confirmation emails from hotels.com, I was still told there was no booking!
I turned up to the hotel and it was closed!
I contacted the hotel again the following day and still the same as previous!
I contacted hotels.com and they've refused to refund me, it seems the hotel is protected once your money is taken and deny any booking was made!!
Would not look at this hotel nevermind stay there, looks rough from outside and location is not safe!! I seen youths checking cars and trying to open them!!
I didn’t like nothin abaut this hotel apart for the location
In the room was only one light working
Toilet had no door and when’s you flash the toilet was making a really loud noise because the motor was installed on the toilet
Basically when your partner use the toilet at nite time you jump straight up cos of the terrible loud noise
I don’t recommend to anyone
Is not worthy for the money

Ok for one night but bed was too small for two people. Overall it was ok.
This would have to have the most complicated shower system that I have ever seen. The secret to getting water to come out is to push the main tap up as in a joystick.
Sometimes i think the owner/ managers should live in the rooms just to understand how they are used/ and should be configured.

Cycling overnight stop for the ferry
I stayed in this hotel at the end of a solo cycle ride around splendid parts of Picardy/Flanders. The hotel is located in a quiet street but very close to decent restaurants, bars and the railway station. It's also walking/cycling distance to the ferry terminal. The hotel charged me 3 euros to store my bike in a very secure garage and were kind enough to leave me the key (to be dropped in a secure box) as I was on an early ferry. (Cars can also be garaged for a fee.) Thus, I missed breakfast but the dining room looked nice enough. The single room was big enough, although the toilet and shower were "cosy". Walls are a tad thin so I was serenaded by a grumpy child. Bottom line: Value for the money paid and I'd stay again on a bike trip.
Warning to all that even think of booking and staying there, i highly advise against it. Apart from the lack in customer service to the point that management were forcing me to pay for an extra night which I refused due to them refusing the clean and change my towels sheets and clean my room. When I refused and explained why, the owners response was "Do you change the sheets and towels in your house every day?". Found it hard to believe the response and to top it all of if I'm expected to pay £40 a night then I should expect nothing less. Having had the police come and mediate the situation as he refused to give me back my luggage I was told that I do not have to pay for the extra night as it was never reserved. Upon that I booked into another hotel with out knowing it was owned by the same hotel. Hotel Tudor around the corner. It was closed and I was expected to go stay in the partner hotel - Hotel Pacific. As you can imagine I refused. Waring to all, please be advised worst hotel experience ever. I have officially complained to hotels.com. This hotel should be struck off in my opinion. Bad taste, the pictures do not match the rooms, run down and vile management. Be warned.

Hotel is convenient for city centre and port.

We did not stay as booked,we checked in and checked out straightaway when we got to our room,it stinks, the terrance door and window was broken only one bed instead of 2,dirty toilet,socket/plug was broken and out of the wall, poor service parking garage was dirty and unsafe, need to book another hotel straightaway.would not recommend at all
When we arrived they didnt speak any english and seamed rude talking to each other. Told room number right st tbe very top went into the room. It was full of flies. Bed was dirty and was a no smoking room smelt of smoke and so did the bedding. Price list for the room inside and was cheaper than what i paid. Toilet broken and was a dark brown colour in the basin dont think it had ever been cleaned. If i would of paid on tje day i would not of stayed got my money back. As expected for price
Was what I expected for the price really. A bit grubby and very cold at night but the staff were lovely and friendly during my week’s stay. Good price so can’t complain.

Tries hard, good value for money
We arrived late, and our booking was no longer valid. Manager did everything to make sure he found us an alternative, which was clean and comfortable, if a bit dilapidated.
The room was okay but the bathroom was dirty & the sink was broken. We asked the owner to fix but since we arrived around 8pm (we just needed a place to crush for the night, planned to leave at 2:30am because we have an early morning ferry schedule), the owner came to look at the problem & said he will fix it in the morning. In other words, we reserved 2 rooms, both have room problems with the sink and the light at thr hallway going to the 3rd floor where we were are also busted- needed to use iur cellphone flashlight whenever we get out.
It was mentioned that the hotel has free WiFi Internet in rooms, but there was no Internet. You could see the sign at some time point but never worked. When we discussed the issue with the reception, we found him very aggressive and rude. He showed his fist to us and wanted us to leave the hotel. We felt very unsafe. We contacted Expedia, not sure if they address that.
