The staff at the little pub was outstanding. The pool area was clean, but there was broken tiles on the hot tub. The heaters and fans in the room were super loud and annoying. The staff is great , but the hotel is dated and the facilities are in need of some TLC. The rooms smelled stale and even though it was a smoking room 20 years ago, it still kinda stinks. I think we paid more than usual because it’s the holiday season, but I thought it would be a little nicer for that price point. It’s also on Ogden road , right in the industrial area of south east Calgary, so you won’t see any post card mountain views. There’s a weed store , liquor store and rub and tug right there if you’re a scum bag.
We stayed here for a night because it’s my son’s baptism and I booked a buffet for 10 people so I figured why not stay here as well and let my visitor/family member visit and swim before our reservation for buffet. Staff are easy to talk to and nice. We are the only guest that was in the pool/hot tub when we stayed so it was really nice. The buffet was really nice, even though there’s only two option of meat to choose to it’s not that bad. I love that we can dispense our own ice cream and fruits were fresh.
The property meets my needs. There ciuld be sn upgrade to internet service as the scrolling and turn off and on was a bit tricky because of lapse time connection.
