Sunrise Cabin
I have no complaints really overall other than the fact that from Thursday going into Friday the heating unit went out and we was left in the cold for most of the day. It took them from about 10:00 in the morning to about 6:00 at night to figure out the problem solve it and fix it. We did not get to venture out at all on Friday except for late in the evening. Was a little disappointed that the cabinet company did not offer us any kind of compensation for the lack of us losing out almost an entire day waiting for people to fix things. But overall we enjoyed this day and the cabin. Just wish we wouldn't have lost our Friday waiting on parts.

Birthday trip
Very nice place to stay. The cabin overall was nicely kept and location wise was very close to all the things I wanted to do and see! Yes, the drive way is steep and I would not consider attempting it without an SUV or truck. (The pot holes are pretty deep!) Also, unfortunately the view from the porch is now obscured by a fence put up by the neighboring property and it looks like you're sitting behind a billboard. Regardless, I had a lovely stay and soaking in the hot tub after days of activities was the best way to unwind and relax.

Decent for a night
Typical small cabin on a private lane. The property could use some work. The decks and hot tub are dated. Most of the jets in the hot tub don't work and it was full of leaves when we removed the cover. Living room lights on ceiling fan just blink on & off. If you want a good nights sleep, this is not the place. The bed is very uncomfortable, and a dog somewhere close by barked all night long. Overall it was ok but a bit expensive for what you get. We booked a 2 night stay but left the 2nd night because we didn’t want to lay awake on that thin mattress all night.

Weak on the water pressure. We would suggest an ice Maker.
The view was great , but make sure it's still available as it looked as if they were building a fence

RED RIVER GORGE
Started out a little rough, gps isn't the best. Ask for a pin drop location. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back. Even saw a bear down the road on our way home one day. Stay was awesome, clean, had everything we needed, no disappointments at all.

Excellent repeat stay
We've stayed at this cabin once before in 2021 and it was so relaxing we had to come back. The cabin was just as perfect as we remembered - great for two people, good location for exploring the Red River Gorge area, and perfect for just relaxing. One precaution - if you're intending to spend any significant amount of time on the patio, consider bringing your own camp chairs. The chairs on the porch leave a lot to be desired in terms of comfort.

Coincidence i think not
I booked cabin blind in jan for my 50th birthday trip in April 2024. I had not been to kentucky since a youngster. My real father's family is from Beattyville but not many are still there. My great aunt turned 102 recently. My grand dad passed away years ago when I was 20 something living in California so i did not get to go to funeral. As i was driving tp cabin following the GPS i see a grave yard on the way. Something told me to turn in. I looked around and saw familiar last name- Olivervl like mine! I called my aunt in Ohio and asked where is granddaddy's grave? She said Evans cemetery. I look at sign that was exactly where i was. So i found him and had a profound moment- tears washing across my cheeks. The cabin is literally across the street and up the hillside from grandaddy !!!!! This cabin is the closest cabin I could rent off VRBO to him. I am serious when i say i know nothing of the area and knew nothing about this cabin except it was adorable in pics and reminded me of a "tree house". Well my grandaddy had built me a treehouse on the farm over near st helens Ky when I was a child. So coincidence that I rented this cabin from you on VRBO and not any of the other 50 i looked at in area ?? I think not!!! Serendipity...... Thank you for being part of this wonderful experience and im officially saying that thulis cabin is my favorite place in kentucky i will return soon again and again and again for the rest of my life.
