This was a beautiful resort that's new and well kept. The reason for the four stars is because of the terrible food. I do not want to go to Mexico and be served hot dogs, hamburgers, and hot wings. There wasn't a lot of Mexican authentic food and I was very disappointed. The elite club restaurant and steakhouse were good but only open for dinner. I would not return based solely on the dining experience.

What a beautiful hotel. It’s excellent. Beautiful beach. The lounge bar could be a little more cosier. The entertainment is just ok. Food and buffet are excellent.

Food lacks flavor. Buffet food is basic. No variety as in other Riu properties I’ve stayed at. Pools are extremely warm, one of them felt like a hot tub. They lack evening entertainment. Daily entertainment is at another Riu which they offer free transportation to but why would I want to go somewhere else?

Such a beautiful property. The food was amazing. We would get up and go have their breakfast buffet every morning. It was also convenient when we wanted to go to one of the other sister properties theme night parties Kukulkan would have transportation every 15 min to take us there. We loved our stay here at Kukulkan and would definitely stay there again if we ever visit Cancun another time.

The property and the staff were great! The only issue we had was that the pools were way too hot and not enjoyable. They should consider topping off the pools with cold water at night. The food was great and buffet had lots of options.
