This hotel doesn't fullfill the criteria of a 3-star hotel. I would rate it as a 2-star hotel. However, the location is great (it's a 4 minute walk to the beaches of Juan Les Pins), the rooms are clean and the service is good. I would recommend it for a short stay at Juan Les Pins.

Hotel is in a great location for the beach, but that’s about it. The hotel is tiered, and in need of some love, but functional if you just need a base. Staff at the hotel are inconsistent- we were greeted by one of the rudest ladies I have ever had the displeasure of meeting in a hotel - her attitude was one of ‘why are you here, why are you bothering me, and what do you want’ - why she works in hospitality I really do not know but Best Western, I’d put her as far away from guests as you can. Throughout the stay, same demeanour with all guests / requests (roll eyes when asking to use an iron, tuts on being asked a question). On the other hand, the older gentleman also on the reception couldn’t have been nicer. Breakfast was ok if a little underwhelming , - given we’d already paid an addition for breakfast to have a sign up that fried/ poached eggs are a further supplement is just bizzare. Eggs are a staple of breakfast…

Room was fine. Clean,would have liked a proper shower rather than bathtub with shower hose. Facility had an elevator. Reason i chose this facility was that I thought there was parking on premises. Had to use public parking but it wasnt far. Staff was very helpful.

The hotel is close to the station and a short walk to the beach and all the restaurants and cafes. I had a room at the back so not too noisy and a slightly better view from the balcony. Drainage out of the bath while showering was very slow but not a major problem.

Best Western Astoria is BEST
Excellent hotel in the heart of Juan les Pins, close to beach, promenade and rail station. Clean, comfortable and with excellent buffet breakfast. All the staff were friendly and helpful especially Philippe and Sonia who in particular seemed to go out of their way to make us feel welcome. We first encountered Sonia at check in: she was charming and warm and relaxed but very professional and helpful, particularly over helping us change rooms when we had discovered a small problem. Thank you
