When I wanted to call the hotel to tell them that we arrive late at night, I could not reach the hotel on the phone. There was an automatic voice saying that the call is forwarded, but nothing happened. Neither the phone number provided in the booking, nor the phone numbers on the webpage of the hotel worked. Fortunately, Expedia could confirm that a) the booking was confirmed by the hotel b) late arrival is possible until 11pm. In addition, I wrote an Email to the hotel during our next stop/break. I appreciate very much that they called back, telling us a possibility to drive to the hotel after 8pm, when most traffic through Caorle is blocked. So everything was fine in the end. Still my feed-back to the hotel would be that they should double check their forwarding system for phone calls. This will make life easier for future guests trying to reach the hotel on the day of arrival :-)
