First of all, the water was ration, meaning you get water only twice a day early in the morning 7 -730 am and 4-4-30 pm. After 4-5 days staying at that hotel, i find out that that situation being going on for a long time so i decided to move to another hotel which later i will have to call Expedia about a refund for the hotel charged and other inconvenience i have staying at that hotel.

The hotel was nice but water restrictions. There was water only from 19:00 to 20:00 and 6:00 to 7:00AM. That was big problem for the stay, other than that was ok.

Checking in was good. Dinner was good. Someone was in our room, stole my iphone charger from my suitcase. There was no water to bathe, brush teeth or use toilet. Staff couldnt care less

One of the worst hotels I have every stayed in
This is a high-rise Faulty Towers. Everything, from checking in to waiting for breakfast coupons to checking out, seemed to take 20 minutes. We were given virtually windowless rooms at first. The only staff at checkout didn't speak English. Very few of the staff at any level seemed competent.

Hotel Alex of 4 stars is good , of great location.
I stayed in Hotel Alex with my wife around one week, we where happy in the hotel because itis in the centre of caracas and close to many tourist attractions.the employees at the front disk are frindly and some of them talk english,the try to help aleays.

The hotel was nice and with very good facilities however the staff was very dismissive and unhelpful in many ocassions. Location is a bit dodgy and therefore I wouldnt recommend to women to stay here.

The hotel is nice and clean with a very friendly staff. Pilar is very very good employee with a wonderful personality. The Breakfast at the hotel is Excellent. However there are 2 things at the hotel that needs improving. the temperature in the rooms needs to be reduced a little and there is too much noise from the other rooms when a shower is being taken or the toilet is flushed. Overall i think the Hotel is very nice and i will recommend it to anyone, needing a nice hotel in central Caracas

The plumbing needs major overhaul. Anytime anyone of your neighbors uses the flush or shower you will hear an exposion in your room. I did not have a complete sleep the two nights I was there.

Great hotel in the middle of caracas
Hotel Alex was a really nice place to stay. The rooftop bar and patio has a great view of the city and a relaxing atmosphere. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and were patient with my poor spanish. The man on reception who helped check me in was especially nice, he helped me order room service! The only downside to this hotel is that it is in the middle of Caracas, so I would not recommend it to someone travelling alone (as I was), unless they were more familiar with the culture and the language.

Good hotel for the price
This is an excellent hotel for the price. The location is called "La Calendaria" and it's not the best part of town. Nonetheless, the hotel is new and very clean. If you want a similar hotel for the price I recommend "Hotel Shelter Inn Suites" across from the Sambil Mall. Same price, better location.

THIS IS A GREAT HOTEL. MY FIANCE' AND I STAYED AT HOTEL ALEX WITH OUR 3 YR OLD DURING A 4DAY DAY TRIP TO CARACAS. THE HOTEL STAFF WHILE NOT ALL BILINGUAL ARE ALL VERY ACCOMADATING. QUITE A FEW ACTUALLY HAVE A COMMAND OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE. THEYALL COMMUNICATE WELL ENOUGH THAT WE ALWAYS GOT WHAT WE WANTED OR NEEDED. WE WERE EVEN ABLE TO CHECK IN EARLY WHICH WAS PERFECT BECAUSE WE HAD OUR SON. THAT FOR ME WAS EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE 5/5 THE ROOMS WERE CLEAN AND POLISHED, YOU COULD TELL THAT THE HOTEL WAS RELATIVELY NEW, WE DID EXPERIENCE A LEAK BUT THE STAFF QUICKLY MOVED US (TO A BIGGER ROOM)AFTER THE CLEANER NOTICED THE WATER ON THE FLOOR. THE FOOD IS EXCEPTIONAL!!!!!! 5/5 GREAT BIG PORTIONS.....TASTY...ALWAYS ENJOYABLE :) MY FIANCE' IS ACTUALLY EXCITED TO RETURN TO CARACAS TO STAY AT HOTEL ALEX...AND WE WILL.
