Friendly staff. Good breakfast. It was just a flying visit as i was meeting an old friend who was up on business. It suited our needs as it was central. The weather was also good which was a bonus but not sure if the hotel was responsible for that?
Just one minor grumble was that the window was extremely difficult to open and close.
I would have stayed somewhere else had i known there was a karakoe disco going on downstairs. The sound penetrates throigh the walls and floor and i found it dificult to sleep with ABBAs dancing queen reverberating around the room. I stayed in room 31, there is one small high up window, looks like it has never been washed, also 31 directly above some toilets with LOUD hand dryers that get used throughout the night and into the small hours of the norning. The breakfast was nice, as were the staff.
Our bed was not very comfortable and the room was quite small, but the staff were friendly and helpful. We also had perhaps the furthest away room-lots of stairs!
Great breakfast! We enjoyed Dunfermline, especially our walk around the abbey.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
A pleasant hotel, maybe a little tired around the edges.
Clean bed, bathroom, kettle provided with usual tea & coffee etc as was breakfast, that was excellent.
Lots of stairs, for the more sprightly that won't be a problem. We should have asked for a first floor room! Stairs to second floor a bit narrow and steep.
Would stay again but not on the second floor.
The hotel was clean, there were a few cobwebs on the light fittings but apart from normal wear and tear it was fine. Staff we came in contact with were all very friendly, pleasant and helpful. Hotel was near enough to Alhambra theatre where we were going for a show. Guy on reception gave us very accurate directions of how to get from hotel and timescale to get there. I would stay again if going to that area.
The overall property was great. Staff was amazing. I loved how our towels nd toilet paper was replenished and stocked up each day without us even asking, this is something that we havent ever seen done in any other hotel. The rooms were spacious, the location was great. Free breakfast was offered which i didnt avail too because i didn't wake up. The property was clean. No issues with parking, loads of space available for parking in the back with some free private parking spaces allocated to the hotel.
My only one downside would be the size of the sink in the bathroom it was too tiny nd you couldnt really bend down properly to wash your face because of the small glass shelf above the sink so you ended up having water dripping over the floor.
