I recently had the pleasure of staying at the InterContinental Cartagena De Indias, and I can confidently say it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I arrived, the friendly staff made me feel welcomed. The bell hops, front desk, and concierge were attentive and always ready to assist with a smile. The service at the bar and pool area was top-notch. I want to give a special shoutout to Fabian, who was an awesome server, and Stephanie, the hotel supervisor on duty, who went above and beyond to ensure a fantastic experience. The breathtaking sunsets at the infinity pool were truly a highlight of my stay—one of the most beautiful sights I’ve ever witnessed! My room was immaculate and offered an amazing ocean view that I found absolutely delightful. Each morning began with a delicious breakfast featuring a wonderful variety of local dishes and staple breakfast items. It was a great way to start each day! The hotel's location couldn't be more convenient. With the beach just steps away, a casino only a 3-minute walk, a shopping mall nearby, and an array of restaurants, there's plenty to explore within walking distance. The only slight downside was the parking—it was a bit confusing at first as it's located in the garage of the mall, but the rates were very reasonable, especially if you're going in and out frequently. Overall, my stay at the InterContinental Cartagena was fantastic, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

The hotel was great and pool area views were amazing . The staff was very nice and tried to accommodate all your needs . The issue by the pool every day was not enough chairs by the pool . Javier by the pool area was very accommodating every morning at breakfast and always with smiles! I think the staff can use more help at the pool as it would take some time to place an order or order a drink . Great central location close to the Center and Wall with tons of food options and things to do . Recommend tour to Bora Bora as the beach across the street is not appealing . I would return, the room was very clean and comfortable with ocean views .

My daughter and I liked this hotel a lot. Rooms were nice, beds comfortable, location was good and staff was polite and helpful. It was extremely hard to get a chair by the pool— guests would grab a towel at 7 am, lay it on a chair, then disappear for hours, leaving no chairs for anyone else. I understand that this may be difficult to monitor, but when there are such a limited number of chairs and they are all taken by 7 am with no one sitting on them (I viewed this multiple days from my window) there needs to be a solution. The public beach across from the hotel isn’t it—it is teaming with vendors constantly harassing (even physically grabbing) beachgoers. Aside from these things, the hotel was very nice!

The worst Intercontinental experience.

Check in process was the worst. There were two staff who were not helpful and very rude. (Probably we saw the rudest ones! Because there were nice people at the reception during check out)The amount we paid definitely did not worth to stay there. Although they should have been upgrade us due to my status with Hotels.com, they gave a basic room and disturbed us 4 times in 1 hour with phone calls and staff's door knocking for no reason! This was my worst experiences with Intercontinental Group hotel.

The hotel was very noisy. The pool area was very loud and you could not relax it did not have enough seating for guests. There was no service to the rooms as the phone did not work despite advising front desk. The room needed updating and the coffee facilities were not good. The fridge did not work properly.

Excellent service. Warm attentive staff saved us from total disaster when hotel lost air conditioning for two and a half days. Also had to change rooms because bathroom sink leaked, Some lights did not work. TV was very old. Grout dirty. Not what you expect from Intercontinental.
