I arrived after a 7-hour international flight to find no one at the front desk, despite the listing stating staff would be available from 9 a.m. to midnight. The phone number on the listing didn't work, and I had nowhere to leave my luggage while I waited hours to be let in.
I was placed in a smaller room with water damage, not the deluxe room I had booked. When I raised this, the manager told me all rooms were the same — but when I returned days later to ask about my refund, he said he could have given me the biggest room if I had just waited two days. That was never communicated up front, and it felt dishonest and dismissive.
There was also a false claim that I hosted a local guest, which delayed my refund despite the manager later admitting it wasn't true.
The experience was frustrating and avoidable. I hope the hotel improves transparency and communication going forward.
