Enjoy a short walk to activities & dining in town and drive only 4 miles to Madrid, 16 miles to Santa Fe and Meow Wolf, 1 hour to ABQ airport and the Balloon Park or 1 hour to Ski Santa Fe. Sustainable- we use only earth-friendly cleaning products, feed all of our trees and pollinating garden with gray lines, and subscribe to wind energy, we recycle, and compost food for our chickens that make the earth for our grey line gardens. Stocked kitchen, has everything you need to cook. This is located on the property of one of the villages' oldest historic homes. Nestled at the foothills of the Cerrillos Hills State Park overlooking the village. Once the Capital of New Mexico, now an amazing time capsule of Western Territorial History, within walking distance to dining and shopping, activities, and massage. Thursday Farmer's market, Yoga, and more. 360 degree views of mountains and the Galisteo River Basin. This property is our life project, the casita is quiet, with natural lighting perfect for working or relaxing. Organic high thread count linens and towels, natural cleaners, and sustainable practices. We do not implement ANY pesticides, if you are intimated by the songs of crickets, this may not be the space for you. Perfectly situated between Albuquerque and Santa Fe on the Turquoise Trail, wonderful for skiers, mountain biking, hiking, horseback riders and tourists alike. Solitude for the quiet types. We offer Wifi, but don't expect cell service unless you are on wifi calling- there is no TV just the view and the stars, you wanted a vacation! Enjoy the Milky Way from the hot tub while the coyotes and big horn owls serenade the night sky. We are not responsible for the hot tub not working due to cleaning or appliance issues during your stay, no discounts will be given. This adobe, rock building does not have AC, stay cool by opening the windows at 9 pm and closing them at 9 am, it will maintain a lovely temp on its own. We welcome pets w/approval, $25/stay, cannot be left unattended or a $200 fee will be charged for all dogs left behind barking. You can contact Rover for pet-sitting services while touring the sites. This is a detached Casita with a private porch with dining table, rocker, and summer foraging garden. There is a second unit behind with an additional hospitality wall on top of the original adobe wall to block noise and vibration between the spaces, they do not face each other or impede the tranquility of either unit. Parking for 1 car in front of the casita in the parking area , if you have an extra car please message for additional instructions.. Access to BBQ.
Other things to note
The main house and casita were built in 1884, and although they have been remodeled, we ask that paper products are disposed of in the trash can versus the 1/2 gallon flush toilet, there is signage as a reminder we do not line the trash bin with plastic, we sanitize the bin between every guest to help save the environment Thanks for choosing a sustainable lodging. All guests are required to wash their dishes and tidy up before check out, we do not charge a cleaning fee to keep our space affordable, so, to avoid an additional cleaning fee please leave the space in the condition you found it.
