No heat in condo ruined family vacation
Upon entering condo, we noticed air vents were not supplying warm air. Which made the condo very cold, especially with the winter storm that came through. I immediately notified property manager of the issue, but the property manager claimed there was no issue with the HVAC system. She asked if we had closed all the windows and doors. The property manager did not appear to act on the issue with much urgency as she did not call for HVAC support until 10pm. She also was not responsive and communicative about updates on the progress of fixing the situation. HVAC technician did not show up until the next morning, leaving us to sleep in a condo that was not to code. The temperature of the condo got only up to 61 degrees and fell to 55 overnight. We were very cold and had to cut into our night skiing time to figure out alternative heating. We had to leave the condo to purchase additional firewood, space heaters, etc.I requested a refund once we realized the hvac technician would not be arriving before we went to bed. Once again, the property manager did not honor this request with urgency. In fact, she told me she had submitted this request for her office to review the next day. As I am writing this review, there is still no resolution to this refund request. Very surprising that this request is taking so long to review when VRBO provided a rental unit that has a serious code violation.This has been very disappointing and frustrating experience renting through VRBO.
