It lies 1,600 kilometres to the south of China's capital, Beijing.

Get a big breath of fresh air and contemplate the natural surrounds of Jade Hill Scenic Area. It's located 25 kilometres away from Changle. You can also find a bit of peace and quiet at Fuzhou Dongzhang Reservoir, 40 kilometres away.

When the sun is out, Fuzhou Luoxing Park is a superb place for a picnic lunch and a leisurely walk.

Spend a bit of time enjoying the surroundings of HangCheng JieDao KePu HuoDong ZhongXin. If you've got more time, the ChangLe KeJiGuan is also worth a trip.

If you head 25 kilometres to the west from Changle, you'll reach Fuzhou. Many travellers like to use this destination as a base when visiting the Fujian Normal University and Wuyi Square.

Want to check out Iron Fort, the White Horse God Temple and the Matsu Temple? Find your way to Nangan, 45 kilometres to the northeast, and set up camp. These attractions, along with Jinsha Village and Huakuang Tati Temple, are all close by.

If you're flying back, it's probably wise to map out your route to the terminal beforehand. From the middle of Changle, you'll need to travel about 15 kilometres east to Changle International Airport (FOC), the closest airport.
